I am a pre-nursing student awaiting my letter of acceptance. I am registered to take an on-line clinical calculations course starting in a few days. I pay for school out-of-pocket without any finanical aid. Math is not easy nor hard for me. I get it when I am taught. My reason for taking this course is to be prepared for the drug dosage test etc. From my previous experience with on-line courses you are very much on your own in the learning process. I started thinking about it and I am not sure that taking this course will be very helpful. I do not want to waste money and my main interest is in being taught the information in order to really learn and know it. It is listed as a course that will be taken while in actual program (not on-line). Should I just wait? Any advice on whether or not I should take it?

I wouldn't waste your time or money. In my experience you will be taught all the math concepts you need in your nursing courses. The math is not difficult at all. We mostly use dimensional analysis and once you learn that, you can really solve most problems very easily.
Thanks. I feel like I will be fine not taking it beforehand and your comment helps to reassure me.
