Should I take this job? (CNA)

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I dont know if this would be considered underpaid or not, but i just had a job offer as a CNA for a 2-10pm shift that wants to pay $9 an hr. (in a nursing home) I just had to quit a job that paid 5 cents more than that delevering food. And i worked as a CNA elsewhere (also nursing home) where i worked a 6-2pm shift making 50 cents more.

this doesnt make sense to me.

I have another job interview as a hha. It sounds promising but i have not done work as an hha before and i think since they are not certified wouldnt they get paid less?

thanks for reading my question.

I would probably go for the HHA job but I just hate working in nursing homes. In my area 9 dollars an hour is low for nursing home work. I guess you could work at the nursing home and still go to the hha interview. If you got hired at the HHA you could work a few hours with them while keeping the nursing home job also to see if you like it.

Where I live our HHA's have to be certified. they make about the same if not more than cna but thats because they get remiberesed for gas.

9.00-9.50.... That's not enough for me personally. Try finding an agency or a hospital

Some places will low ball you like that. A home health agency I interviewed with last year offered me $9/hr. I agree with the others; look around and find something that pays better. Good luck :)
