just want an answer please!!
please have some respect and if you give an answer actually give an answer. It is very unhelpful to me when people answer with disrespect and question my motives. I thank everyone who answered honestly I did find my answer it is out there.

"If you need to know this for yourself you should be calling your OB/GYN and if you are asking for your patients then why not be asking the docs you are working for???????????? You owe it them to give them an accurate answer--one from a physician not from a nurse who may or may not know for sure and isn't legally allowed to diagnose." I am a CNA and starting nursing student. This question was for women who have asked me (not in a physicians office, nor any type of medical atmosphere). The more i researched it and pondered the question, it seemed the less I found. So I decided to post the question here to see if a nurse would know. No need to freak out!!! I am not illegally diagnosing people! I am new to allnurses.com and I suppose a question like this is not exactly accepted because it sounds personal? idk

"Per TOS, we cannot offer medical advice." this is not medical advice it is a question i needed an answer to bc of women asking it all of the time. and i did not know the answers. for this field I think i should. Daisees: thank you! i didnt think it could because they would be associating with 2 different areas of the system. thanks

jobs dealing with reproduction or labor and delivery?
i am planning on becoming an RN. I really hope to work in the labor and delivery unit. I would like to know what all of my options are before i do this. I would like to work with women before and after birth. I know there are labor and delivery nurses, doulas, midwifes, ob's, and fertility specialists but is that all? what could i do that wouldnt take any more than 2-4 years? thanks also, i am currently a CNA could i volunteer at a women's clinic or work anywhere to help this future career?

Should I take this job? (CNA)
I dont know if this would be considered underpaid or not, but i just had a job offer as a CNA for a 2-10pm shift that wants to pay $9 an hr. (in a nursing home) I just had to quit a job that paid 5 cents more than that delevering food. And i worked as a CNA elsewhere (also nursing home) where i worked a 6-2pm shift making 50 cents more. this doesnt make sense to me. I have another job interview as a hha. It sounds promising but i have not done work as an hha before and i think since they are not certified wouldnt they get paid less? thanks for reading my question.

where all can you work as a CNA?
i have just started out as a CNA. I worked in a nursing home for a little over a month and it was tougher than i expected, not bc of the work but bc of the staff. the nurses were so impatient with me, they wanted me to already know everything and the other CNA i worked with, couldn't even look me in the eye and talk to me, therefore he never gave me information on the patients. I also had to work a lot more than i wanted to. my last week of work there i put in a 70 hour week. I dont mean to complain, but I really wanted to be a CNA through school, but if I have to do this through school, I feel like I would have to fail at one of the two. My question is where are other places I could look into working as a CNA (that might also pay well)? Also, if I did in home private pay, what would be a good rate to accept or ask for? thanks!
