I know this might not relate to nursing but I need help nonetheless...
I'm finishing up my pre-reqs as a pre-nursing student this fall ( I started school in the summer) and my school is giving all incoming freshmans for the fall and all current freshmans (from the summer) free laptops for us to keep as our own personal use.
However, only a certain group of students can pick up their laptops next Monday if they were conditionally admitted into the school if they scored below a 22 in math on the ACT (they have to be in a math program).
I was that student who scored a 21, so of course I was conditionally admitted for this fall. But I took a test similar to the compass where I tested out of being conditionally admitted, so long story short I received an email, 8 days ago from the Dean of Students telling me to come pick up my laptop on Monday.
I've been trying to get in touch with the DOS for 8 days straight but they are not answering their phones or emailing me back, so should I just go pick up my laptop even though I'm "technically" not allowed to get it yet? The email addressed my processing number, the assigned brand, and the room I'm supposed to pick it up in.
I'm sorry for the long post, I tried to make it short as possible though.

Is this one of those for profit schools like College America?

I have heard of high schools offering this but not colleges. I hate to tell you but NOTHING is free. That cost of a laptop is added to your tuition fees. Is this a private or for profit school?

There's a private not for profit women's college in my area who gives every student a MacBook.
I'd get it then return it if there was an issue.
It's a catholic private university... But as far as I know they told me the laptop is $0.

I don't understand why you're even questioning this. (Let alone asking us, who have no way of knowing anything about this.)
You got the email telling you how/when/where to pick up your laptop.
Go pick it up.
p.s. It's freshmen, not freshmans.
