Should I bring a resume?

I would bring updated: Resume, References and any other certifications. It doesnt hurt to hand carry those documents for your employee file,

It's a good idea. If nothing else you can review it before the interview. If you sent a cover letter it would be a good idea to take that as well. Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

Yes, bring an updated resume. Just in case they ask for references, have a sheet that has your references on it too. I don't usually give references unless they're asked-for. My basic resume says "references on request" at the end.

Yes. Bring resume and references. I was interviewing with 5 people for my position. I printed off 5 resumes and references on resume paper. I paper clipped them together.

They admitted to not being prepared and i was the first one of the day. They all forgot my resume and reference list. They were very very impressed that i brought one for each of them :)

(p.s. i got the job!)

I always bring mine, so when they want to refer to something on may resume I can always whip it out.

Hi all,
I am meeting with a nurse manager and HR person at the hospital where I use to work as an ER RN. I left last october because I have decided to do EMS full time and I just needed a break from nursing all together. I am meeting with them both to discuss commiing back on a per-diem basis. My current employer is cutting back on OT which is one reason why I am going back there.
Should I bring a resume? I uploaded one with my application and nothing has changed really since I left in October.. Not sure if it is improtant to know, but I worked in the ER for 3 years full time prior to leaving.

I would, even though they know you. If you're job hunting, you should always have a copy of your resume on you. Kinda like when you're dating you should always be shaved and have your pretty panties on. Just in case, you know?

(And I am going back to working on the "streets" - I'm slowly coming out of my "bad place" but knew that nursing alone would not satisfy me anymore - so, kudos - they are getting a certainly great ER nurse back - woohoo for them and you!)

Haha funny! No I dont know because I have not had a date in months .... but anyway I went to the interview yesterday and brought it, but they did not ask for it, but I felt better knowing I was prepared.

They did say they wanted me back cause I as an excellent ER nurse, but they also said I left with a negative attitude which is true. I was VERY burnt out when I left. I appologized for that and we will see what happens...
