I still need shoes for clinical

I am lucky in the fact that when I started college in 2004 (I changed majors a few times), I had a massive overstock of school supplies. I am not quite sure how that happened, I think I have my buy in bulk mother to thank for that. :yeah: However, the only school supplies I've had to buy over my college years is binders because they do tend to fall apart.

The only school supplies I bought this year in particular was white out, and a huge desk calendar. I already had everything else (including a planner!). And the fiance keeps accidentally bringing home pens from work so we have a whole drawer full. :uhoh3:

So far, I've bought my scrubs, watch, scissors, stethoscope, BP cuff, penlight, lab coat, polo shirt. I still need khaki pants (goes with the polo for the community outfit), white undershirts, and white sneakers.

I have most of my books. I have two more coming from amazon, and I have to pick up one more from the bookstore. I'm picking up my clinical bag and badge today.

As far as needed electronics go: I already had an ipod touch. I bought a new case and screen protectors to get it ready for clinical. I have yet to buy the apps that are required. I won't buy them until I absolutely need it. I'm really reluctant to spend $175 for a freakin' app! :uhoh3: I also already have a good computer (built her myself! :D), and a netbook that's less than a year old.

I also bought a separate bookshelf for my books and binders. A small 4 foot 3-shelf bookshelf from Target for $20! Can't beat that!

Great lists - I've definitely gotten some ideas of what I still need / have forgotten.

So far I have:

-Required books

-Nursing Tote with all clinical supplies (stethoscope, cuffs, pen light, injection simulator, etc...)

-5 1-subject notebooks (one for each class)

-5 binders

-5 folders

- Post-it flag+highlighter in 1

- Post-it removable highlights

- White out tape

- tons of flashcards

- scotch tape

- fine-point pens

- pencils

- planner

- white shoes

- 2 pairs of uniform scrubs

I still need to get:

- 3 hole punch

- stapler re-fills

- binder dividers

- laptop case

- watch

- dry-erase calender

- file organizer

- post- its
