Sherri Taylor's online workshop

Published

Has anyone completed her ONLINE WORKSHOP? Looking for feedback! I understand she's not an Excelsior grad, but I'm over that at this point.. and what's another $150! I'm taking some of the online ones through Excelsior right now. Those are ok, but I feel as if they could give us more for what we pay.

Please let me know if anyone has experience with this!!

I'm taking online! I live in Michigan! Not that attending a workshop is convenient to begin with, but I couldn't make it work for me!

I should have signed up when I first started to prepare! The ONLY downside is that it's subscription based and costs $147/month. Since I test in a month, I already emailed them and said "cut me off after March 7th!." Shortly after I received an email saying I wouldn't be charged anymore.

The videos are great! It's the most professional step by step resource I have seen yet! They are long and take a while to download - even with high speed, but well worth the wait!

She even has a section where she goes over all the different drainage tubes. Something that I was worried about!

Her knowledge of the critical elements are right on and she has a great understanding of how the weekend goes. Everything matches with what Excelsior wants us to know.

Erin does it cover labs, and the PCS? Also, do you download the videos, or do they stream from the site? But, most importantly is it work $150 for just 30 days of access, for someone who doesn't have a date in a month?

TIA

I'm not sure! The videos stream, and it does take a long time. But, I love the lab videos. It's exactly what I needed. Honestly, I haven't even looked at the PCS ones! That area isn't my sore spot, it's the labs! I find it much better than Rob's because it's professional and she shows you the actual items that are used during the CPNE. Sherri is great as well. Encouraging and responds to everything you post on her site.

I guess I recommend it at some point during your study? Especially if you're not attending a workshop like me. Her clips are from actual workshops. The way I feel is at this point, I've witnessed everything and gotten my hands on every possible resource. The only thing missing is someone to critique me.

FYI I just finished talking with Sheri and she did say she would be at the workshop on Thursday 18 Mar for a review, also there will be a workshop on Friday 19 Mar and there would be no problem sitting in and working on labs or what ever. She also said the hotel was only about 15 min from the hospital.

I test the weekend before and I am not testing in the SPAC. I'm in the MPAC! Thanks for the info! Sounds like lots and lots of success down in the SPAC. Everyone I communicate with has excellent experiences!

Erin, you sound like you are really getting there. Keep studying, it will be the best feeling when you leave the hospital knowing that this hurdle is behind you. I'm still elated about my pass.

I think I am getting there!! I feel like I turned the corner today! Now it's practice, practice, practice! Oh, and did I mention I haven't memorized mnemonics yet? ha! I am good with memorization, so I saved that until last. I don't know if that's good/bad, but I wanted to have a complete understanding of the areas of cares before creating/picking/choosing mnemonics.

Prayers still accepted........ :)

No it's not a bad thing if you pretty much have a good idea of the areas, then memorizing them will come easy. Just make sure you can write them out without even thinking about it before you go.

I will! Just discovered dry erase markers and sheet protectors work together! I have always been a big fan of both, never thought of combining them!
