Published

I applied for the Fall 2016 nursing program and am currently waiting to get my letter in the mail. I'm applying with 185 points total. Any comments or advice? Anyone else applying?

Mail just ran but no letters

My friend called the school and they told her the letters were typed up I guess yesterday so they should be arriving probably Monday or Tuesday I would assume

Also, why don't they send emails like it's 2016 and not 1950!

Chadmasters lol right !

Ugh me an u both but i think we all will

Let me ask this: What made you decide to do ADN vs BSN? Tuition is a big factor for me, but if I don't get in, I will use the fall semester to take my remaining prerequisite and apply to UA. In the long run, it's probably the best since I'd want to do ADN to BSN or ADN to MSN as soon as possible.

The only reason I can foresee not getting in would be the lack of Anat II and Micro on my application. I have almost max points from every other source. These two classes are also the only reason I can't get into UA, so if I have to take them before I reapply to SSCC, I might as well go BSN.

I am doing it to start working as soon as possible. I am going back for BSN but online and yes I think you should take your anatomy 2 and micro they really do check for micro. I didnt get in at once school last year because she said I really needed micro but they told me I could apply :/

Yes, I really doubt that I will get in SS without the micro, even though they say it is not necessary. You have to take it by the third semester, I believe. I'm taking the Anat second summer term, so I will have it by the time the program starts, but it's not reflected on my application.

I already have a job that pays more than base RN salary. But the problem is that the job I have has NO opportunity for overtime and the shift diff is no where near what RN shift diff is. That's where nurses can really make the $$.

I'm doing ADN because I can't afford a 4 year college, plus I'm ready to start a career and it's easier to go from ADN to BSN than it is to go straight through to BSN or so I've heard so I plan on going to school online for my bachelors while working with my associates.!
