I didn't purchase the drug screen by today... Do you think they will take it on Monday? Or.. am I out? I can't believe I missed that. However, it does say please pay.... not "must" pay.

you don't have to register until orientation. Earlier in the week, I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) because I noticed that one of the sections was missing anything on Tuesdays. Her reply was "please do not try to register until orientation. Your options will be discussed at that time" Since then, I did notice that the course had been updated in course selection to include a tuesday clinical.

When is the deadline to confirm your spot? I was so anxious to get the packet, but once I got it, it's been untouched. If I recall, it is the 8th?

Sorry to hear that, but like you said, things happen for a reason. I have almost an hour drive to Shelton (although it is my most convenient option) and I have found that the time in the car can sometimes be a blessing. A friend of mine used her travel time to listen to lectures she recorded in class. I didn't record lectures, but sometimes I did listen to a YouTube lecture, or use the Quizlet app to study...or just use the quiet time to process things in my head. Often, between work, kids, and class schedules, the time in the car was the only time I ever had to myself.

Acceptance is a packet in a white (approx) 9 x 12 envelope.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I'm sure the wait is torture, but don't count yourself out. You'll get notified one way or the other, so right now, no news is still good news--or at least it's not bad news.

July 26, I believe. I don't have it with me right now but I think that's what it said.

I'm not sure what my total points were. On the sheet that was given to us when we took the TEAS had your score in one column and then the equivalent points next to it. My score was in the "125-150" range. All the others had one score equals a definite point value. So, I got somewhere between 125 and 150 for the TEAS. Plus, 35 from the other categories.

If they are strictly going by points and I made it, then everyone on this board did.... I probably had the lowest points of anyone on here.

I'm in the Ks I was probably mailed at the same time as the E... I live out of town and our post office is open only half days, so it might have taken the extra day to arrive.

I have no choice but to do school in Tuscaloosa. I have carpool duties, so I have to have kid school and mom school in the same town.

I agree it is more bang for the buck. You will find, however, that with SOME nurses, they will flaunt their BSN. I have witnessed it many times: "Yeah, but they only went to a 2 year program." And I do agree that the nurses that come out of SSCC are better nurses right out of the gate--things might even out over time, but they are generally more ready to handle "working". This was my observation years ago when I was in a position to observe new hires.
