Hey! Did anyone apply for the SHARP Spring 2023 residency? I haven't seen a thread for it yet.

From what I know regarding the references as stated on  my official offer letter as long as we met the 2 references requirement that are good and solid, we are good. As for me, I reached out to the hiring manager that called/sent the congratulation email after the verbal letter on the updates. I did that 2 weeks after the verbal offer since I need to relocate & to give 2 weeks notice to my current employer. IMO, I still think to have a written offer letter only it is official then I can stop going for more interviews. I hope that help to clear your mind a little. Congrats on the offer as well!

Hi! 

I was lucky enough to receive an offer for Scripps' new grad program as well. I'm very on the fence about the two options and I wanted to know why everyone is going with Sharp! My main pros for choosing Sharp is that it's very close to where I live and the benefits are great. Any feedback would be appreciated ?

Also, does anyone know what the pay increase is after the program ends?

Hi it is me again ?. For me, I would like to work for a position that is unionized. From what I read on some facebook grps, there is some people that mentioned Scripps isn't unionized but I can be wrong. Just double check w/ HR on that. Congrats on getting 2 offers! That's cool ?

I finally heard something back and got a verbal offer for Sharp Chula Vista. I had already accepted another offer from a different hospital that starts next month but now I have to turn them down because I really want this opportunity with Sharp. I feel bad having to call and tell them, Have any of you dealt with something like this?

Hii! Congratulations on your offers! yes this happened to me too. I got an offer from sharp grossmont a couple months ago for April and then I got offered scripps right before Christmas which is my dream hospital. I left a voicemail for sharp to decline the offer I already accepted and then sent my onboarding advisor an email as well. She was really nice and congratulated me! So don't feel bad just do what's best for you ?

Thank you for your response! It only makes it harder for me to decline the offer after I accepted it because not only did I get hired for their new grad program but I also been working there as a CNA for a few years? so I have to give my two week notice as well. Overall, I'm excited to start at Sharp!

I totally get that!! That is a tough situation since you work there already but I'm sure they'll completely understand! Sharp is a great hospital ?

Hi! Can I ask which Scripps location you started at and why it was your dream hospital? I'm considering an offer from Scripps Mercy but still have an interview with UCSD. I'm applying from out of state so I'm not very familiar with these hospitals or anyone who works for them so I'd love to know why you went with Scripps!

Hey everyone! I start a position in the Sharp Chula Vista New Grad Nurse Residency program on March 30th, 2023! I was just checking into this forum to see if anyone else is starting this Spring and if anyone had an idea of what the schedule looks like. I've finished the onboarding process I'm just waiting on the clear to start notice from HR so I can contact a manager to discuss scheduling. I'm so excited and I hope I get to meet some of you!

Hi ?,

I will start on the same day as you at Sharp Chula Vista. I received an email from our nursing manager and scheduled an appointment to see her to discuss on the work schedule on 22th. She will be giving us a book to study for a ECG test. Look up for those email if you haven't. 
 

Did anyone open a group for Sharp Spring new graduate forum on facebook that we can connect with each other? 
 

By the way, which department will you be starting at? I am in the LnD. Hope to see you in real person soon ?
