Hi, I just applied to Sharp new grad residency for winter 2011-2012. Anyone else applied?

After I sent my application, I didnt get any email confirmation at all. Anyone else having the same issues?

Also, can you apply to more than two units? I know during the application they ask you for your top two choices.

Anyway.. goodluck to all of us who applied! I hope we get at least an interview.

Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at 5 pm PST: Last day to apply

All required documents must be received by 5 pm

November 2011 - January 2012: Interviews take place

December 2011 - March 2012: New Graduate Nurse Residency Programs begin

Does anyone know how to take the Maternal Newborn Nursing course through the Regional Perinatal System? I want to apply for

L & D but it says that this course is required.

I took it in Spring 2011. I don't remember the website but you can email / call Cynthia Peña, MPH, MSW

It's 6 weeks long. I think they offer it a few times a year.

its about $650? if i remember. but so worth it.

oh wow! $650 is a lot! I just called and price has not changed and their next class probably won't be until the end of January. Thanks for the info.

Hi guys,

I applied last night. I chose SICU in Grossmont and the Adult Health rotation in Memorial. Those supplemental questions took way longer than 45 minutes but they were good food for thought.

called HR and she said that the program was so far away so with her knowledge she doesnt think they have started calling people.. grr

:lol2::lol2::lol2: I received an email last Thursday from the recruiter for the ER Grossmont New Grad Program. It stated :

Good morning,

"Thank you for your interest in the New Grad Nurse Emergency Room Program at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Your portfolio documents have been received and currently being reviewed for further consideration. If you are selected to move forward in the interview process you will be contacted via email or phone no later than the end of the business day on Friday, November 18, 2011."

They wanted my academic transcripts and any other info (letters of recommendation, SNO info)!

So, I emailed her back my transcripts, all the letters and student nursing organization stuff I have done in the past few years!! I hope this is a good sign.

Has any one else heard back from them yet!?!?! Just curios if they wanted more info on candidates than they asked for :confused:
