  1. OK, well...my interim permit is there again on BRN...hmm...weird!! Hope I passed!!
  2. Is this the "good" pop-up AND It would not let me proceed to the next page for CC info after clicking "ok" from this message: "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." It shut off at 146 questions, and took me almost 2.5 hours! I am in CA and they said at the testing center that it would take 2-4 weeks for results! Can I really rest easy knowing I got this "good" pop-up!!! And possibly passed Oh and in addition....I had a CA interim permit that also has disapeared off of the BRN's website after 2-3 hours of my exam. Anyone...PLEASE put me at ease!!!!
  3. I am using the Exam Cram (as well as others) and really like the questions and detailed reationales!
  4. Taking my NCLEX on Jan 20th!!! Studying with Kaplan book, Nclex-RN Exam Cram, and Saunders!! Just keep trucking away answering ?'s!!! Good luck to eveyone!! Anyone have an idea how you can take tests with just the SATA ?'s!?
  5. Hmm...that's interesting!! What do you mean by internals!? Peope who already worked there or did!? Or externs!? Just curious because I use to work there as an LVN before I got my RN out in Arizona and I'm hoping to get back into the UCSD system with my preferential rehire status, not even sure that will help but, hey it's a shot I guess!!
  6. Hi everyone! I also applied to UCSD's New Grad program! What positions did you apply to? I applied for NICU and L&D! Does anyone know their timeframes for emails/call-backs!? Good luck to everyone
  7. Hey, Horef, please dont get discouraged...from what I've heard its a looonnnggg process:( I'm sure it will work out fine for you!! I have had my LVN for 8 years now, and have 6 years of Urgent care experience and 2 years of acute pediatric care. I have ALWAYS wanted to work in the ER once I got my RN and so I tailored everything to that (resume, supplementals, etc..) Well, hopefully, they will call me back for a phone interveiw by Nov 18th!? I have my ADN, ACLS, and know some RN's who work there (not sure if this helps!?!?) Please, keep us all in the loop on everything :)
  8. :lol2: I received an email last Thursday from the recruiter for the ER Grossmont New Grad Program. It stated : Good morning, "Thank you for your interest in the New Grad Nurse Emergency Room Program at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Your portfolio documents have been received and currently being reviewed for further consideration. If you are selected to move forward in the interview process you will be contacted via email or phone no later than the end of the business day on Friday, November 18, 2011." They wanted my academic transcripts and any other info (letters of recommendation, SNO info)! So, I emailed her back my transcripts, all the letters and student nursing organization stuff I have done in the past few years!! I hope this is a good sign. Has any one else heard back from them yet!?!?! Just curios if they wanted more info on candidates than they asked for BEST OF LUCK TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Did anyone get an email confirmation back yet!? I'm just worried that my stuff wasn't received!?!?
  10. Thank you for the info on the dates!!! I did not see that on their website:yeah: What positions did everyone else apply for? New Nursing Careers - Critical Application Dates Winter 2012 Program Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at 10 am PST: Posting of position Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at 5 pm PST: Last day to apply All required documents must be received by 5 pm November 2011 - January 2012: Interviews take place December 2011 - March 2012: New Graduate Nurse Residency Programs begin
  11. He everyone, I also applied yesterday!!! I have got 8 years experience as an LVN in private urgent cares and at UCSD, my first choice was for the ER @ Grossmont. I also have had my ACLS for about 6 years. I hope this will put me in a good spot for this position in the residency My second option was the adult residency at Memorial. We'll shall see!! Does anyone know the timeframe for callbacks or communication from them? I also thought that the supplemental information was brutal, it took me well over an hour to complete, I was not ready for that!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone, I wish you all the best......
  12. Hello! i have been looking into travel nursing jobs as well. I am an LVN and my boyfriend is a Respiratory therapist and we wanted to travel together, wither locally or or over the world! We found http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/ It is traveling over to Germany, Belgium, Italy or China. You would work on Army bases there. You have to sign a three year contract though...check into it, the position is always open and according to the recruiter we talked about it has great benefits! Hope this helps!
  13. Hello, So I have been an LVN for about 4 years now and really want to get my RN, but I am having trouble finding an RN program that the wait list isn't 2-3 years! Anyone know of any LVN-RN 30 unit-options??? or any schools the know of that is ready to accept new students??? Thanks! nurseheather83
