Hi all! I am starting this thread for those who have applied/are going to apply for the Sharp New Grad RN residency for Winter 2022-2023! 

 

that's quite competitive! Which unit is it for? or is it standardized across? I just had my interview with the ED Grossmont today.

Did they say when they would get back to you or how many people they are hiring?

No they did not and I didn't get the chance to ask since I had other questions. Do you have an interview coming up? If you ask, please let us know!

I hope your interview went well! I also had mine today and forgot to ask when the program starts, were you able to ask this?

Anyone know if they've already called everyone for Mary Birch? I know the cohort starts in January so I was hoping they may be calling into November but I Haven't heard anything yet so at this point I'm not sure I will.

Yes! I did feel like they were a little serious but honestly they’re just there to hear your answers to the it questions.  Hope yours went well too. It starts in January and lasts for a year. I think they had mentioned there were a lot of openings so hopefully that plays into our favor! Did you ask about salary?

I really liked the vibes of everyone there, super friendly! I keep thinking about my interview and feel like I missed a lot of important details that I wanted to include but my nerves took over. Oh well. 

Oh that's good, I hope that means good news for us. Did you ask when we should expect to hear back from them? 

I didn't ask the salary, I just don't feel comfortable asking about salary during interviews.

Nice! I did mine via video chat because I’m not from SD. I was actually wondering if many people do did clinicals at Sharp or volunteered there who applied? That would be great to have under the belt.

Hi all! Following this forum has been really helpful for me, so I wanted to add my experience ?
I applied to Sharp Mary Birch L&D:
- Got a call to schedule an interview on Wed 10/05
- Interviewed on Fri 10/14, received reference request email later the same day
- My references completed their responses the evening of Tues 10/18
- Got a call for a position offer Fri 10/21
The job hunt has been pretty brutal, so good luck to everyone and hang in there!

I personally received the reference check before my interview, which I thought was a little odd. Anyone else experience this as well?
