Hi all! I am starting this thread for those who have applied/are going to apply for the Sharp New Grad RN residency for Winter 2022-2023!

Same I had a verbal from Grossmont ED on 12/2. I submitted my RN experience and references completed their stuff. So now I’m just waiting!

For those that got accepted to the ED:

Can you please give some advice and tips for the interview?

Thank you!

Well for starters, be prepared it's most likely going to be a panel interview. Go in there confidently and if you have any experience working in health care try to incorporate as much as you can. They most likely ask you to tell them about yourself and you want to focus on mainly your experience and lead them to where you are now (Nurse). They also might ask why Sharp, do your research on their values and mission. Another question that might be asked is, a conflict resolution situation.

Good luck ! ?

Yes, I agree! I would add to know the Sharp Experience and how your values align or can contribute to that. They may also ask a receiving feedback situation and ethical dilemma. Practice all your behavioral questions! Good luck!! Hope you see you in the ED soon!

I've received an offer by the phone, they have asked me to send back an experience form and that after receiving it they would start me on the onboarding process. How long did it take you guys to receive an official email offer from your phone call offer?

Hi all! Following this forum has been really helpful for me, so I wanted to add my experience ?
I applied to Sharp Mary Birch L&D:
- Got a call to schedule an interview on Wed 10/05
- Interviewed on Fri 10/14, received reference request email later the same day
- My references completed their responses the evening of Tues 10/18
- Got a call for a position offer Fri 10/21
The job hunt has been pretty brutal, so good luck to everyone and hang in there!

This was very helpful thank you! Would you be willing to answer a few questions. I'll be applying to Sharp l&d soon and I would love some feedback!
