Sharp Hospital New Grad Application

Published

Hello fellow New Grads,

Anyone else applying for the sharp new grad program? Im currently doing the online supplemental information form, however I CANNOT get it to save to my computer like the instructions say I can. Also, I cant use that button to email the form.. its just not working. Im so frustrated, and Im usually very tech-savvy. Anyone having similar problems and/or know how to do it? Thanks!

They are having problems with their supplemental info form so check back on Wednesday for it to be re-posted. They have quite a few campuses so hopefully they'll be hiring a lot of people! Good luck everyone on their applications!

Well that is good to know, thank you!

i've just seen their notice regarding the "error" they're having with the application form. i was wondering if it would be available at the facility? i feel Wednesday is too long. we have to get those applications in as soon as possible don't you think? to those who have applied for the grad program in the past, can anyone advice as to what is the easiest and the best way to go through the process?

I think wed. is fine, in the mean time.. did you print out the form or anything? maybe you can work on your answers until then... All the online apps are due october 9th.. so we have a little while.

no. but i was able to save the form earlier so i can still work on the questions. also, i've seen in their requirements that we need to send an APPLICATION FORM. how does this differ from the supplemental form? is this available online too?

i think that is just the online application...

so if i apply online, would that complete number one of the application process as stated below?

The portfolio requires the following information:

  1. Submit your application
  2. Submit your resume. Please include clinical placement and hours, as well as work/volunteer information.
  3. Submit a cover letter. There needs to be a separate cover letter for each area that you are interested in.
  4. Complete the online Supplemental Information Form. **You will be required to complete a Supplemental Information Form. Due to technical difficulties, the form is currently unavailable. We anticipate that the form will be available on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Please check back to the RN New Grad Programs page at that time.
  5. Provide 2 clinical letters of references from your preceptors, instructors or clinical facilitators. You should also provide one professional/volunteer letter of reference if applicable. These letters must be on an official letter head and must be signed. These can be scanned for email purposes.
  6. Provide a copy of your most recent unofficial transcript (does not require official seal).

Yes. And all other materials can be faxed and/or emailed.

I'm also confused about the application (#1) and the supplemental information form (#4). Is it the same thing? I completed the # 1 but can't find any link to the supplemental information form. Even if they had problems with the form I believe the link should still be there. Can someone please enlighten me? Thanks!

they have taken the form down for right now until the technical difficulties are resolved. 1 and 4 are different.

what is more convenient to do? fax or email? i'm afraid of getting my documents lost if i send it though fax, although i will be sending all the requirements just once. there must be hundreds of documents getting sent their you know.

any advice?
