Hi ya'll, I'm in the process of registering for classes at Excelsior, may someone please explain what SG 101 is all about. Before deciding on EC I was reading several posts and came across other students chatting about it.
-Is this SG 101 affiliated with EC?
-Is it beneficial?
-Are the contents updated if not affiliated with EC?
Thank you

studygroup 101 makes study guides for the exams and they are very reasonable prices. They aren't part of Excelsior college and they tell you that up front and you dont have to worry about contracts and high prices like some others (college network achieve testing prep and others). I have used them on all my exam so far and hardly cracked a book. All a's and b's is the proof. They have hundreds of questions in the study guides to so you can use those to study also. I believe they are updated to the new curriculumn because they sent a new one to me when I was studying reproductive that was new and dated for November and I got an update on life span 2 a few days ago. You can't go wrong with they're study guides even if you only use them as additional source for study. Probably the best ten dollars you'll spend.
Thank you 🙂 $10 is not bad at all. Do they have information literacy? Is there a website?

info literacy is a joke of a course and doesn't require a studyguide. Do the course and you'll pass
yo ucan do information literacy through tor college credit and I read yesterday that they are accepting it through penn foster college also but you have to get approval from your advisor first. No book for info lit but tor has a short study guide that comes with the course. You can do it in a couple hours or so for only 135 dollars.
Thank you everyone!
Counselor at EC stated today that they are not accepting Penn Foster [emoji30] so much more affordable than Tor.

They haven't accepted PennFoster for a few years. There is another program that's less than the EC course. I can't recall the name though
