SFSU Spring 2020

Published

Is anyone applying for spring?

Let's check in here to keep track of the admissions process.

My stats:

GPA 4.0

TEAS 97.3

Healthcare experience: 10 years as an in-home caregiver

No multicultural experience or other languages. That's definitely my biggest weakness.

If they time this out like previous cycles, interview invitations should go out in mid-October and program decisions in late November.

Good luck, everyone!

Did anyone get an admissions acceptance email today?

I thought they were still conducting interviews? I heard 11/8 and on they will release admissions... Can you send a screenshot of the email please?

I was waitlisted too. How do you know your position? Was it stated in your email or did you call?

Congrats on getting this far you guys! The program and faculty are amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better experience in nursing school tbh. There was a post on this forum weighing in on the program being negative and I and many others in the program don't think that way at all. They really support you here and develop your learning in a way that you'll be successful on the NCLEX and on the floor!

Thank you for your comment!! I’m so excited to start in January, how do you like your clinical placements so far?

@may7281 I love our clinical placements so far because the area is full of diverse populations, the nurses love to teach students, and we're in the epicenter of major teaching hospitals (like Stanford, UCSF) so there is so much opportunity for hands on experience and utilizing new evidenced based practice techniques and not just shadowing! They clinical coordinators are very receptive and accommodating to where the students live to try and place them nearby. I'm currently doing my senior capstone at Stanford and love every minute of it!
