I wonder how many will be on the waitlist this year, given the admittance pool is miniscule. What do you guys think?

I don't know, I was thinking about that too. I was thinking the waiting list should be a decent size since surely not everyone admitted will be attending. But who knows. This might be backwards thinking, but I feel like the waitlist should be bigger this year than previous years, since less people are being admitted. In previous years, it seems like they would have room for some people to not accept the offer since they accepted more applicants, so they wouldn't need many people off the waitlist.

Don't they have to admit more than 20 to assume that some people will decline? I checked and my SFSU says complete, not like it really matters tho. They sent me an email about missing a reference letter so I think they are currently reviewing our apps.

@fancyeyes: when did they send that email? That sucks about missing a reference letter. I was afraid I wouldn't get all mine in on time, my last reference person didn't submit his letter til the very last second.

I got it in on time, they were just letting me know that the due date was March 10, luckily he submitted it right before! That e-mail was on March 4.

Hey everyone, just checking in with you all. How's the anticipation? Did anyone hear his/her other schools of choice? Also, any good news to share?

I spoke with the nursing department at SFSU and they should have e-mails sent out by late April/early May. At least March is almost over!

@master641215, nope, still no news here. I'm getting so anxious, but I'm trying to think that no news is good news lol. Have you heard from any other schools yet?

@futurenurseshelly, true, no news is good news at this time! I put all my eggs in one basket by applying only to SFSU. I think SFSU announces acceptance/rejection later than most schools, which is why I was wondering if anyone heard back from other universities.

We have less than a month before we start hearing back! Is anyone going to the SFSU sneak preview day (Saturday, April 5)?

Hi @master641215 - no news on any other programs for me either. Hopefully I will start hearing mid-April. I had not heard of a sneak preview day. What is this?

Hi max79. Sneak preview day is a Saturday morning/afternoon where prospective students view what SFSU has to offer (more like an open house). The main quad will have tables with information from various groups on campus, ie graduate programs, undergraduate programs, financial aid, etc. It's a free event, but I think you have to rsvp online. Personally, I don't know how beneficial it is. But I feel it's a good excuse to check out the campus and meet new people anyway!
