SFSU 2011 applicants

Application period is about to start for everybody. I wanted to open a new thread for those who are applying to SFSU, to share information, give support to others and to see how fierce the competition is going to be this academic year.

hi! are you guys already current students at SFSU?

i am a CCSF student applying for the fall 2011 semester. i know that the nursing dept. said they wouldn't give out notices till april, but i'm wondering about the actual university itself. i've applied to several other CSU nursing programs and i've already gotten my acceptance letter from the university, but not the nursing dept. i'm getting a bit nervous because i know the intent to register is May 1st. which is coming up really fast.

Hey Kreyes87, I am a current SFSU student. I just transfered this semester as my first semester doing the last of my graduation requirements and GE. I got rejected from CCSF's program, and SFSU is the only BSN I applied to.

I'm also still an applicant, this waiting is no fun that's for sure. I'm waiting on SFSU, CSUEB, CSULB, SDSU for state schools I hope the time passes fast!

I got my acceptance letter to the SFSU/Canada BSN program today, too! I was bracing myself for a rejection when I saw that it was a thin envelope, but it turned out to be the opposite. Hope everyone else receives good news (:

Big congrats to those accepted! Curious, did your online applicant status change now that you received your letter? Is SFSU your 1st choice school? I'm glad they're finally sending out letters good or bad b/c it's almost unbearable to wait so long....

Yea congrats to all of you who got in the Cañada program. I bet they'll begin sending notices to us for the SFSU BSN by the end of next week.

No, my online admission status still reads the same. On the acceptance letter, you still have to reply before they "will process your application." They're giving people a chance to reply before they start updating everyone's status online. Also, yes, SFSU is my top choice bc I don't think I'll get into CSU Eastbay bc their app actually required additional classes in which I didn't do so well and they also penalize you for repeats.

Yes, mine still reads "Applicant". I'm definitely considering SFSU because of the location and cost (by far the most affordable program I applied to), but since I'm pursuing the BSN as my second bachelors, I'm waiting to hear back from a couple of accelerated programs before I decide. However, I'd be more than happy with attending SF State!

I still have Ohlone and Chabot to go. If not, then I give up. I hope I'll get called in though...
