SFSU 2011 applicants

Application period is about to start for everybody. I wanted to open a new thread for those who are applying to SFSU, to share information, give support to others and to see how fierce the competition is going to be this academic year.

I received my email via my external email. just received a second email stating what number im on the waitlist out of 115!. I cant believe im this excited about a waitlist. i guess patience is a virtue.

I'm number 26. seems unlikely but I read a thread that one year they accepted 22 ppl from the waitlist...Totally depends on everyone elses decisions.

Wow - seems like everyone received an email. guess those who have not received one (i.e. 'me') must be a non-admit then? since it seems like non-admits are always the last to hear anything :(

Don't worry perhaps you'll receive a letter. Or maybe u have a case sensitive email? Either way it's still early!

I'm number 18 on the wait list out of 115 people. I still don't know if I'll get in or not. My mom tells me that I have a "good" chance while my sister tells me that she doesn't want to "spoil it" for me.... UGH!! I really hope I get in! The wait is excruciating and torturous!

How come there are more waitlisted students this year compared to last year? Does anyone know the total number of students SFSU is taking for both fall and spring semester?

I wonder how they pick the students. Your gpa and experice is pretty good and you're waitlisted? My friend got accepted and her overall gpa and prereq gpa are below 3.0 and scored a 84 on the teas....

below 3.0?! Wouldn't that make her ineligible to apply since 3.0 is the minimum?

I think something fishy is up.
