SFSU ABSN 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! I haven't seen a thread for sfsu's ABSN 2022 yet so figured I start one.

Can someone please clarify if we need to do the supplemental application on nursingcas? It says that its due on Jan. 15th, but when I reached out to sfsu's nursing department, they told me it is not needed. Have others heard the same as well?

Looking forward to responses! ?

Yes, I received that email! @yums

Hi, I’m new to this thread!

Has anyone else gotten this email? I ended up submitting two applications since the instructions were so unclear/previous years required the NursingCAS app.

Edit: Also thank you for making this thread!

I also received this email Jan. 4! Nothing else since but I guess it's still pretty early.

Hi everyone,

I also got a similar email that my application has been forwarded. But, I also got a response from the nursing email today and someone named --------------------- mentioned that all official transcripts should have been sent to graduate admissions by the deadline. I'm still very confused!

When did you guys submit your applications? I haven’t received the email that my app has been forwarded and I submitted mine a lot earlier (only bc I mistakenly submitted it for Fall 2022 instead of ASBN but they transferred my application to the correct program, which reflects on my portal).
I’m anxiously checking everyday although I know it’s way too early ?

Agh. That’s so frustrating that the instructions have been so unclear and that both departments say different things. I called the graduate office well before the deadline to ask about official transcripts(and about the wording on the application) to which they said only send them once admitted into the university. I even called again last week for confirmation after reading everyone’s confusion on this thread and they confirmed once more that official isn’t needed. It will be really upsetting if applicants get rejected due to this misunderstanding ?

Honestly, I know the instructions were super unclear. I don't even know where to exactly have sent them either? My sf portal says unofficial transcripts atm.

It wasn't communicated clearly to me that official transcripts weren't needed, so I sent mine back in December. Two of them finally showed up as received today in the Admissions Status page in my portal. It also says "You have met the minimum university admission requirements, and your application is currently being reviewed by your selected academic program" on that page finally, but I never got an email about it.

I finally got an email back from Grad Studies today and the person mentioned that I should've submitted my TEAS scores with my NursingCAS application. I was like... wait... what? I was told NOT to submit the NursingCAS application I started! Luckily the Nursing email also finally replied to me today to say they had my score on file.

To who did you send your official transcripts to Erin?

Graduate Admissions

Do they have an exact email or address?
