SFSU ABSN 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! I haven't seen a thread for sfsu's ABSN 2022 yet so figured I start one.

Can someone please clarify if we need to do the supplemental application on nursingcas? It says that its due on Jan. 15th, but when I reached out to sfsu's nursing department, they told me it is not needed. Have others heard the same as well?

Looking forward to responses! ?

Has anyone heard anything further? I got the notification that my app was passed onto the program, but nothing since then. Other schools are wanting deposits by now...

I looked back to last year's forum, it seems like people got interview invites the first two weeks of March. We should hear back sometime this upcoming month.

Does anyone know if they are doing interviews this year? I know they changed the application process for ABSN quite a bit and it doesn’t say anything either way on the website.

I emailed them inquiring about interviews so I could plan ahead and they said there are no interviews and admissions decisions come out sometime in April. From last forums it seemed like they heard by end of March/beginning of April!

Oh OK. More waiting then ?

Thank you for the information though. I’m glad I asked!

I'm curious where people live in relation to the San Mateo campus, and how they are planning to get to campus. I live in Oakland and there's no easy way to get there via public transportation. ? I know we are still waiting to hear back from admissions, but would love to connect with anyone who lives in East Bay and would be interested in carpooling.

P.S. Good luck everyone! ?

Hi there! I am so anxious to hear back. Am I the only one checking email 30 times a day?? :P

I live in San Mateo. I can literally see CSM from my window. I know that doesn't help you at all but I think the Hayward/San Mateo bridge will be the easiest route. I wish I could help.

Wishing everyone the best of luck. Hope we will all be meeting real soon :)

Aw, thanks Christalyn! Hopefully, I will be able to connect with other applicants who may be facing a similar commuting challenge. Can't imagine I will be the only one.

Hoping for good news any day now and looking forward to meeting everyone soon ?

Hi all!

just wanted to update that when I Inquired about interviews this is what I got: “There are not interviews for the ABSN. The admission decisions will be released in April.” So, looks like a bit more waiting…

Hoping for the best for everyone ??

Hi Abi! I’m also Abby ? I live in east bay too and have also been stressing about how I’ll be getting to campus if I get into the program! I live a little further east than you but I’d love to connect with you about the potential for carpooling:)
