Been there ... and will find myself there again, no doubt.
Recharge, blow off steam, count your blessings ...
I'll throw in some other lyrics:
"I'm at a place called vertigo ... it's everything I wish I didn't know"
or
"Mama always told me not to look into the sights of the sun ... but Mama, that's where the fun is."
I wasn't referring to anything specific here on AN...I wasn't aware there was any 'tude copping going on here.
though I sometimes get flamed or singed by folks who don't have the experience to justify an opinion on certain matters
the "tude-ing" refers more to some interactions with a few nurses from other units who, I think, would change their tunes in seconds flat if they walked a mile in my Merrells.

I'm a nurse in a large urban ED.
My last 16 hour shift had more than its share of head-shaking moments that provoked comments of, "if you don't do this job, you just don't get it"
and which was capped by my unknowing participation in a clearly unethical and illegal situation... for which I received serious attitude when I insisted on shining the light of day on the situation.
For some strange reason, I actually like my job - and love most of my colleagues - but, to quote the Grateful Dead...
"Set up - like a bowling pin. Knocked down - it gets to wearing thin"
If you don't work in an urban ED, you don't get it... which is understandable... but don't cop a 'tude to those of us who do...
