September 2008 support group!

Published

Hi everyone..

I just scheduled my exam awhile ago and finally taking it this September 15, 2008.

I was looking for the September 2008 Support Group and found their is none in existence so i figured to start one. :D

I am currently on Saunder's 4th Ed. and some other references like, Exam Cram, Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX-RN Exam, Prioritization, Delegation Assignment by Linda LaCharity and other Q and A books by Saunder's and Mosby.

But i am focusing more on Saunder's, i just like to have other references to understand topics which i am weak in.

I wasn't a very good student before or wasn't that much focus with my studies while in school. That's why i am very anxious now with my upcoming exam.

Now I am giving my best in my review and hoping and praying that i may pass it on the first try.

I really want and dreampt of becoming an RN and finally i am a test closer to becoming one.

Good Luck to us and God Bless.

good luck to this weeks test takers

Wow, I only have one more week. My goal is to review infection control (especially the infection control thread), do my last two Kaplan Qtrainer tests, and keep doing Saunders questions.

We shall overcome! :nurse:

Good luck to all of you who are testing this week.I changed my test day to 9/18.Remember GOD would not open a door for u (nursing school)to close it in your face, just have faith and ask him to be with u during your exam.I will be praying for you all.You can do it.

:smackingf oops sorry about that:hehe:

you cna do this!!! ( PLEASE SAY THIS ALOUD "I CAN I WILL I WANT", "IWILL PASS MY NCLEX!! I JUST FOUND OUT THIS MORNING THAT I DID, SO YOU CAN TOO!! HANG IN THERE

I'm taking the NCLEX-RN on September 10th... It seems from reading this thread that most people (I may be mistaken) seem to have scheduled their NCLEX to allow for a month or more of studying. I made A's throughout school and am a good test taker. I finished school this past August, so I'm not long out of the classroom. I've given myself 2 weeks to study (I've just been doing NCLEX review questions daily). I took a NCLEX predictor test and scored in the superior range (without studying), so I figured 2 weeks of study time would be enough. After reading this I'm wondering if maybe I should study more? Any advice?

Congrats to everyone that's passed!! Keep us future test-takers in your prayers :)

congrats cosmomemory

I'm taking my test in TX for the THIRD time tomorrow at 2PM instead of the 8AM slot since I'm not a morning person. I've been using the www.learningext.com site and Saunders. The first time I took the NCLEX, I attended the Kaplan course but it was mostly test taking strategies and I needed a lot of content review. I'd graduated almost 5 yrs ago! Anyway, I failed with 75 questions.

The second time, I attended a few sessions of comprehensive review but it was more for nurses that had cases with the BON and had their license revoked or suspended. I failed with 265 questions.

I am kind of freaking out but I sure am grateful to read I'm not the only one with these insecurities! Wish me luck and put me in prayers? I'll post my results in a few days...
