Hi everyone..
I just scheduled my exam awhile ago and finally taking it this September 15, 2008.
I was looking for the September 2008 Support Group and found their is none in existence so i figured to start one.
I am currently on Saunder's 4th Ed. and some other references like, Exam Cram, Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX-RN Exam, Prioritization, Delegation Assignment by Linda LaCharity and other Q and A books by Saunder's and Mosby.
But i am focusing more on Saunder's, i just like to have other references to understand topics which i am weak in.
I wasn't a very good student before or wasn't that much focus with my studies while in school. That's why i am very anxious now with my upcoming exam.
Now I am giving my best in my review and hoping and praying that i may pass it on the first try.
I really want and dreampt of becoming an RN and finally i am a test closer to becoming one.
Good Luck to us and God Bless.

:smackingf oops sorry about that:hehe:
I'm taking the NCLEX-RN on September 10th... It seems from reading this thread that most people (I may be mistaken) seem to have scheduled their NCLEX to allow for a month or more of studying. I made A's throughout school and am a good test taker. I finished school this past August, so I'm not long out of the classroom. I've given myself 2 weeks to study (I've just been doing NCLEX review questions daily). I took a NCLEX predictor test and scored in the superior range (without studying), so I figured 2 weeks of study time would be enough. After reading this I'm wondering if maybe I should study more? Any advice?
I'm taking my test in TX for the THIRD time tomorrow at 2PM instead of the 8AM slot since I'm not a morning person. I've been using the www.learningext.com site and Saunders. The first time I took the NCLEX, I attended the Kaplan course but it was mostly test taking strategies and I needed a lot of content review. I'd graduated almost 5 yrs ago! Anyway, I failed with 75 questions.
The second time, I attended a few sessions of comprehensive review but it was more for nurses that had cases with the BON and had their license revoked or suspended. I failed with 265 questions.
I am kind of freaking out but I sure am grateful to read I'm not the only one with these insecurities! Wish me luck and put me in prayers? I'll post my results in a few days...
