Sentara BSN program 2019

Published

Hello everyone,

I am applying to the BSN program at Sentara for the 2019 starting class, is there anyone else out there?

I haven't taken the TEAS yet but will be after my last 2 pre reqs any tips on the TEAS v6 teat that may help ?

Thanks!

Tonja~

Sorry it took so long to apply but I'm taking my exam on May 11th and completing my application around that time as well.

Ive been going back and forth wondering if I should apply this semester. Im currently taking chemistry but on my other 5 prerequisites I have A's. I keep rescheduling my TEAS exam but I may take it some time this month. Im really nervous for it. I guess we'll see how it goes. I feel like i'm applying so last minute and that sort of worries me. Has anyone taken Health science Chemistry for their prerequisite?

Ttonja Sorry so late on the response but I got into ODU's nursing program!!!!! Good luck on your TEAS and getting into the program I know that you will do well!

Omgeee so happy for you !!!!! Congrats !!! Thank you so much ☺️

Hi all!!! Didn't get into TCC (low hesi) so I'm focusing on sentara now!! Just purchased my teas and im gonna start studying really hard and schedule it. I am reallllly counting on doing well on the teas and getting in.

Also those who have taken the TEAS do you have any tips? I have the pocket prep app but that's it!

Hey all, I am also applying for the 2019 start and I'm pretty nervous! My GPA is a 3.3 and I'm taking my TEAS test next Friday. I've been using the ATI testing material which is super helpful. I've gotten a 75 and then an 85 on the two practice tests, aiming for an 85 or higher to make up for my GPA! The only thing concerning me is that I have a lot of healthcare experience and I'm afraid there is no way for them to know in order to make my application more personalized. I have clinical experience and great letter's of recommendation, but I feel like none of that matters :/ Has anyone spoke to a recruiter about this? I spoke to Amanda and she said they don't look at any of that.

I got the material from the ATI website, which included the test study book and 2 practice tests. I feel like everywhere I've looked they really suggest getting that book to guide you through all the topics! It's definitely helped me. I also use a lot of different apps when i'm not home.

Yes I have my application turned in and it does not count towards anything just the pre rec classes and the TEAS test. I have healthcare experience as well and wish they took it into consideration but every school is so different. I take my TEAS May 10th and my GPA is 3.875 so I am hoping I do well on my TEAS!

I ended up getting the study guide and tests from the ATI website! I take mine on May 26th. I'm so nervous. Apparently the average last year was 82% so we need to get that or better! I emailed them and they said they don't look at experience. Just gpa and teas score and they'll be taking 100 students!

I am taking mine May 10th and I am beyond nervous !!! I know they look more at the GPA so hopefully if we score lower we will have a chance. Good luck let me know how you do !
