Sentara BSN program 2019

Im taking TEAS at sentara this thursday (May 10) as well. I just started reviewing 3 days ago. I'm nervous because I only score 60 on practice test. Although my GPA is 4.0 for 6 pre-reqs. Over all is 3.9. If I score lower than 80 this thurday, I will retake it. Good luck everyone!

Good luck to everyone who is taking the test tomorrow! Let us know how it goes. I've been using the pocket prep app to study and I also bought the study book and tests from ATI.

HI! i'm applying to Sentara BSN 2019 as well and retaking my chem through portage learning and I am so nervous!
I have a 3.5 GPA and taking my TEAS this Tuesday.

You have an awesome GPA I 2 weeks away from retaking my ENGLISH for a 3.85. I am so nervous about tomorrow

I am taking it at Sentara tomorrow as well. I am sure you will do well;you can take it again if you do not get the score you need.

How did you do? I didn't know who you were LOL but I got an 80 so hopefully that's good enough to get in with my GPA 3.86 ugh good luck everyone

Hi everyone! Just wanna lend a helping hand. I used Mometrix ATI secrets book. I have to be honest I didn't have a lot of time to study because it was my finals at the time but what I did is do a bunch of practice tests. Testing yourself is the est way to learn IMO and what's even better is if you time yourself. Don't sweat it too much, go back to your A&P 1 and 2, Chemistry, Basic algerbra, Statistics, reading(time yourself on this, because you'll be reading paragraphs and it's time sensitive so the pressure is on you ), english (verb,subject verb agreement,adjectives) and Bio and you should be good!
I believe you can take it twice, The great thing about Sentara is if when you take it twice they pull your best scores from the two tests so you can get a higher average score.

Hi Martinni do you know if Sentara takes the best scores from each whole section or the sub categories too? LOL I saw different scores when I opened up the section but just wondered if you knew. Did you all get letters or emails for when you were accepted ?

Hi! They take the whole section/subject. I believe it's Math, Science, Reading, English? So just THose. They do however take your best scores individually if you've taken the TEAS more than once to ensure a higher average on TEAS. For example if you scored 80 on Math the first time but you scored 75 on the second attempt they take the 80 in the calculation of your TEAS average.

thank you you for replying !!! Okay that's what I thought ! I took it twice and did better on the 2 sections I did bad on lol.

There's different weights for each section right ? Like science and reading are the biggest weight out of math and English. ? Or was there a way you added up your average composite score yourself lol ? It was so busy that day we didn't go over the 2 tests. Thank you so much !!! This wait is going to have me on edge!

It's simply getting the mean of the scores and they weigh the same.

Yes I turned in my application and everything like 2 months ago, I just choose to do my ENG class over for an (A) lol so I turn in my final transcript next week with my new grade for that class which gives me a 3.86.

Ok so I probably added up right, I emailed Amanda asking so maybe she will respond tomorrow because I wanted to see what chance I have. It just waiting from here I guess. haha and I know you know the feeling !!!! When do you graduate ?
