Hello everyone,

I am applying to the BSN program at Sentara for the 2019 starting class, is there anyone else out there?

I haven't taken the TEAS yet but will be after my last 2 pre reqs any tips on the TEAS v6 teat that may help ?

Thanks!

Tonja~

Just the hesi. I'm studying for the teas right now for sentara and Hampton. If I don't get into tcc in April then I'll take the teas. I talked to one of the recruiters at sentara and he said the average score of the teas last cohort was 82%. I've been using the pocket prep app to study. It's just practice tests but I like it because I can use it whenever.

I am studying for the teas as well and i love the pocket prep!!! That is awesome I am hoping I get at least an 87 or better on the test what is your GPA for your 6 classes? I hope you get into tcc

I am also applying for the spring 2019. I'm currently studying for the teas now. I taken the version ecpi has, did great on it , it's just the school is way too expensive.

What is your GPA for your 6 classes ? Are you taking the teas at sentara?

Oh you're definitely gonna get in! my GPA sucks so I just need to try really hard to do well on the TEAS. I've started filling out the application and didn't see anywhere for to put health care experience but there might be like some where you can put extra qualifications. Let me know what the recruiter says! My gpa for the 6 classes is a 3.0 so pretty low. I haven't applied yet. I'm gknna apply in April once I hear from TCC. I almost prefer getting into sentara since it's a bsn and I could be wrong but I think there's more seats than TCC.

You think so? I guess if I do well on the TEAS I will have a chance! I saw people with a low GPA that did well on the TEAS and they got in. Im hoping she says yes about having healthcare experience that could help a lot of people out! I also saw there accept 140 people from past forums.....That would be amazing ! Let me know what you score on the TEAS.

Yea alot of these schools really focus on the TEAS or HESI score. Of course you got to meet the other requirements but that score is the key to getting in or not

Hello all!!I too may be applying to Sentara for the Jan 2019 start if I'm not accepted to ODU. Has anyone taken the TEAS test yet?If so, any recommendations on study material?I want to be prepared just in case.

Hi!! I hope you are accepted into ODU's program! How did you do on your HESi? I haven't taken the TEAS but I have been studying for a month and I am scheduled to take the test soon. I am using the Mometrix and the ATI TEAS 6 book.

Aww thank you!My fingers are crossed ,but I am also prepared for the worst. I never know what to expect with these programs. Thanks for the study information I will be looking for both books. My Hesi score was an 89, but I've heard that the TEAS was tough so I'm a little worried.Good luck on the test and if you will please let me know how it went.

Your welcome !!! Did you take your prerequisites at ODU ? That's what I scored on the HESi too that's awesome ! I'm so nervous about the TEAS but hopefully all this studying pays off !

Hesi twins!!lol!! I'm sure that all of that studying won't be in vain! Keep up the hard work and you will be fine.I didn't take any pre-reqs at ODU, which is why I am so nervous. I took them all at TCC.If I am accepted I do have to take one 300/400 level class at ODU before the start of the program, but we shall see... Have you applied to ODU?

I was was going to apply because I took the HESi there but I was nervous because I didn't take any classes there and I ended up missing the deadline while thinking about it lol !

So so I figured if I don't get into sentara the. I would just apply to TCC or ODU next year start.

Yea I saw the extra classes that would have to be done if accepted which isn't bad but I wouldn't have to any classes if accepted to sentara.

Do you you live closer to ODU ?

I actually live closer to Sentara, but not too far from ODU. I would prefer Sentara because I have heard nothing but great things about the program, but I'll take whatever I can get. I just want to be done with this already. When are you taking the TEAS? I understand not wanting to take the extra classes, it's just extra stuff to worry about. If I'm not accepted into ODU's program I definitely wont be taking that class!lol!!
