Has anyone applied for the Spring 2010 term? If so have u heard back?

Cryst342 - let me change my previous answer to "it's totally possible!" I just got the call from UCF that a seat opened up in the concurrent program and they offered it to me - so now I am in. (I would think that would open up a seat in the generic program, since I've been switched, but not sure if that's how that works or not.) Good luck!

Highvoltagegirl...CONGRATS...thats awesome, now ill just keep praying i get the call!!

I just got the call today too!! I will be seeing you in August!! I am confused about the uniforms though! Have you checked out the site? What all do we need to get??

Congratulations to all of you who have been accepted! I am applying for the concurrent program for spring 2011. Have not attended the info session so I am in the dark about some of your comments. I am just completing my last class for my AA (chem and lab). My current GPA is 3.58 and I have 88 on the TEAS. What do you think my chances are for the concurrent program? When you say you were accepted into the SCC program, is this the AS degree vs the BSN from concurrent? What are the "catagories" you are referring to?

Do you happen to know any stats on the UCF program? I have applied there also. Thanks for any info you can offer.

I'm also applying for Spring 2011 AS/BSN Concurrent Program!

I really hope I get in.

Can any of you ladies in the Concurrent Program right now give us any advice?

I am in the concurrent program right now, I had a 3.9 GPA and a 97 on the TEAS. This semester we had about 30 people, but I hear they will be allowing more. I think your odds of getting in are great w/ your GPA and TEAS score....best of luck to you!

Anyone applying has any questions about the program, message me and I will do my best to answer for you :)

ymommie4two, thank you for replying : )

I had a few people discourage me of applying for the AS/UCF concurrent program. They said it's doable but it's

so hard I won't have any time at all to spend with family.

Can you share what your schedule is like?

for example what does a regular 7 day week looks like for you.

By the way nice GPA 3.9 wow!!!

The curriculum shown on the conconcurrent web page ranges from 7 to 13 hours per semester for 7 semesters, as I recall. Do many students have part time jobs?

With your GPA and TEAS, why did you choose go concurrent instead of UCF? Having finished my AA, as you have also, I am not too excited about 72 hours and 7 semesters unless there is a positive aspect I am missing. Being a transfer student, it appears from other comments that I would not have a chance at UCF acceptance. Therefore, I am including SSC in my applications. Spring applicants will attend Daytona or Cocoa. Do you know any differences in the two schools? Thank you for taking time to answer these inquiries.

Done with all pre-requisites with a 3.77 GPA

overall GPA is 3.65

I got all A's in my sciences.

but only scored 73.5 in Teas test

wonder if I should take the Teas test again...

or will my GPA and being done with all pre-reqs help me more?

any suggestions?

I have 2 kids and work part time and have been making good grades so it IS doable. Kinda hard to say what a typical week is like for me because it changes. This semester is kinda crazy w/ the schedule, but my summer was Mon: off, Tues: UCF class 1-4 (this was mixed mode so only met a few times then did online stuff) then SSC class 5-9, Wed or Thurs : lab 5-9; Fri: pick up clinical assignment-only every other weekend; Sat and Sun: clinical every other weekend. This semester is different and all over the place. But after the first 2 semesters UCF is all online. It is mostly writing papers (except your Health assessment class the first semester). I am in the evening program, I cant speak for the day program. But over the summer I felt like I was home a lot...looking like not so much this sesmter BUT it is short lived! Best of luck to you!

My reasons for the concurrent program: classes are taken at SSC Altamonte which is less than 10 minutes from my home, BIG plus 2. UCF is much harder to get into even with a high GPA 3. I am a stay at home mom and needed the nights and weekends program...

Cant help you about Daytona or coccoa I am at the main campus, so my program may be different than what you are looking at. Hope I was able to help!:)

Hello! I'm just writing to those that were accepted to the fall day program (concurrent program). How is it going so far? What is your schedule like (first and second semester)?

Please share your experience so far so that I can get an idea should I get accepted :) i just recently submitted my application for this fall.

Thanks! :)
