Selection board 2012 for air force

hello everyone,

got a question. when applying for the 2012 nurse corp selection boards, are all the applicants all over the country competing with eachother or do you compete with just your region? i was told there were only 22 slots and if we are competing with the whole country-OMG! waiting on an answer sucks. my recruiter has a back up plan for me if i dont get picked the first time for the med/surg but hopefully I do, and good luck to everyone else as well. talk to you all soon.

I can sign him up until the spaces are full. They started filling slots last month. I called my recruiter today but it went to voicemail. I will be calling again on Monday morning.

Hi everyone! So I called and left a voicemail today for my recruiter. Her supervisor emailed me back and stated that I am #1 on the alternate list. Hopefully I will get more information soon.

Congratulations ATLRN0828! It seems like as #1 on the alternate list, your chances of getting picked up pretty quick are good! Have you heard any details from your recruiter yet?

Thanks UCAFblue!I haven't heard anything yet from my recruiter. She is on maternity leave. There is another recruiter in her place right now until she returns. I called the number provided on the day I received the email and today, but I think he is out of office (that's just my luck). Once I get word, I'll definitely be letting you guys know.
