hello everyone,

got a question. when applying for the 2012 nurse corp selection boards, are all the applicants all over the country competing with eachother or do you compete with just your region? i was told there were only 22 slots and if we are competing with the whole country-OMG! waiting on an answer sucks. my recruiter has a back up plan for me if i dont get picked the first time for the med/surg but hopefully I do, and good luck to everyone else as well. talk to you all soon.

I didn't get a call yet. My recruiter is pregnant and has been working half days for the last few months. So I figured if I didn't get a call by 1p then I wasn't going to today. Maybe tomorrow.

I now have a base.... I'm going to Travis and my COT is the 29th of May. This will be tight considering my commission may not happen for several months. Good luck everyone and I'll keep chacking this post.. Perhaps some of use will be going to COT together.

RN4LIFE2,

Where do you live? It seems like you are getting your information so quickly. I put California down as one of my top 3. I'm starting to worry that maybe I wasn't selected since I have not heard anything yet .

I also have my assignment and COT information now. I am going to Robins AFB, and my COT is Aug 27th. Good lock to everyone awaiting result, we will be glad to hear your happy moments.

hey willtsmith,

You are coming down to my neck of the woods. The LtCol I interviewed with there is super nice. Where are you from? I wonder if certain areas got the results faster then others? I still have not heard anything. It's 1pm here and my recruiter usually works half days so I guess I'm going another day with no answer.

To ATLRN0828That should be awesome, especially coming from Ohio. You may be right about different areas receiving information earlier than others, so just hang in there, your day is fastly approaching. So good lock to everyone.

Thanks willtsmith...you will probably like the weather much better here than in Ohio. I just hope to hear something by the weekend. I guess I will call her on Friday if I don't hear anything first.

Like I said before, no word just means no word, nothing more. My recruiter told me last weekend that the 28th was the earliest release date and could be up to several weeks. Don't write it off yet till you get the word. No luck needed I'm sure.

Thanks RN4Life2...at first I was not anxious about it but since you guys know already it has me on pins and needles now. I'm going to try to just go back to not really worrying about it. I guess I thought too that everyone would know on the 28th or everyone would not know. I didn't think some would get word before others.

As prier-enlisted, the air force has it's own time line and it is somtimes a total mystery what it is. I have heard of people getting their orders several days before pcs or deployments. In the aire force, patients realy is a vertue but nerve racking.

Yes...nerve racking but I will try to continue to be patient. If you were me when would you try to reach out to the recruiter? Another reason I want to know is because I have a family to prepare if I get accepted and I don't want to rush trying to get things done at the last minute.
