I'm so worked up, I got over 50% of select all that apply questions. I literally guessed on 90% of them! I had no maternity, dosage calc, or fluid and electrolytes and that is 75% of what I studied! I only got 75 questions and it shut off. I got a B in nursing school and felt pretty confident going in here but I'm sure I failed. I can remember 10 questions at least that I looked up the answer and it is incorrect. I'm so worked up I'm also so worried about being humiliated since my family, friends, and job knows I took it today. I am usually a smart cookie but this test made me feel ridiculously stupid. Please any encouraging words?? I wish I didn't have to wait over 24 hours to know for sure, it's killing me!
I too had about 40 SATA out of 75 questions! I thought I would die. Every other question was a SATA, so I knew when I got one wrong and one right because I would get an easier question then it would go back to SATA then I would get that wrong and so on. It was horrible. But I think if you get that many SATA and are only asked 75 questions that means you were doing really well and are well above the passing standard, and the test is trying its hardest to stump you. I did pass, but I could not believe the amount of SATA I got. Congrats if you got the good pop up, it is pretty accurate.
Congrats!!! Great job!!! I take mine in a few weeks what would you say helped you the most with this new passing standard an all? My email is [email protected] i would greatly appreciate any study material of fun facts sheets that you or anyone else that reads this can offer. Thanks and congrats again!!!
I don't really think there is anything a person can do other than work their tail feathers off in nursing school to get ready for the NCLEX. I crammed for 5 days and nights before NCLEX (That's all the time I had between getting my ATT and sitting for exam) and NOTHING I looked at in those days was on the test! Well, maybe one thing I saw helped me...that's about it.
I had tons of SATA and meds. Some of the times I liked all the possible answers and other times I didn't like any lol. I do think if you are getting a lot of SATAs then you must be on the right road! Pray, keep telling yourself you worked very hard in nursing school and pray some more. That's how I got my RN license.
I was given this advice prior to taking the test for my Nursing Licenses. Read each question, pick 2 of the best answers then decide between those 2. Followed that advice while taking the test. Like you my machine cut off at 73 questions. Took my required break, went back to testing machine cut off after 2 more questions. I passed with 75 questions. I am sure you passed. Congratulations. It is nerve wrecking though.
