I forgot to put in there that the reason I needed the license for the state I am in is because I will still likely working prn in local hospitals. That is where the dilemma stems from, otherwise I think I wouldn't worry at all.

I have been lucky enough to not only get an interview but also get a verbal offer for employment at a local federal hospital. I am trying to make sure all my ducks are in a row but do have one dilemma in that I need to change my primary residency for my compact nursing license. I am unable to claim my former state as primary and need to change it to where I am now. Will they (federal) still process my application with a temporary license or would it be on hold until that is processed? I have no restrictions on license and no issues currently or in the past. (Obviously I am going to ask them about that but it is late so..... I am asking here). Thanks in advance for the advice.

I felt like I got more out of the LaCharity book and the Kaplan questions than I did with Hurst. Hurst is amazing for content but the other two really prepare you for the style of questions and get you in the right mindset....or at least, that is my opinion.

I got my quick results and found out that I passed. Still in disbelief and keep expecting them to be like, oops, just kidding, you failed.

I had a massive amount as well....to the point where it seemed like every single one was SATA. Does not help with test anxiety that is for sure!

Is the PVT trick reliable if you have taken the nclex before? I have my LVN already, had gotten the good popup for that and recently took my nclex rn and got the good popup for that. So does that mean I passed or no?

I am using Saunders (along with Hurst) for my content review and I am starting to wonder how to effectively use it. I am about halfway through it and a lot of stuff is familiar and others are not as much. There are so many lab values, therapeutic levels, etc. that I just cannot fathom memorizing each and every one (minus the given Na, K, ALT/AST, etc.). I did very well in nursing school so I feel like I have a basic understanding of concepts, but still....the sheer extend of the content is a little overwhelming (especially compared to Hurst who keeps it super simple!) So my question is, for those that have successfully passed the NCLEX and even to those of you that are currently using Saunders, how are you studying from it? Just using the questions on the cd? Reading the entire book? (More than once?) Thanks!
