Hello!
I hope I am posting this question in the correct thread/section. I'm a senior nursing student from Cleveland, about to graduate in Jan 2016. I am looking extremely hard to find a nurse residency in the Seattle area. I was confused about UW's nursing residency program. It seems that it's listed as a "job posting" rather than a typical application. For example, UCLA's RN Residency program is very clear. Applications are due Oct 5-11 and interview invites sent out in November and you will hear back if you are accepted in December.
I'm just a bit confused about UW's program and how it works.
Also, I was wondering if anyone knew if Swedish's Residency program dates are only in July, August and November? Will I have to wait that long and go on without a job (once I pass my NCLEX) until July?
Thank you for taking time to read this! Any information would be extremely helpful!
A medical unit on fist hill campus. I wasn't sure if having a third interview was normal during this process. I'm flying across the country and have to pay for my flight so it's pricey and I'm hoping for good in person compatibility with me and the unit. I have applied to other hospitals in the area for new grad positions. But no where else has even offered me an interview at this point. I graduate on Saturday, and all of my close friends accepted jobs in the past two weeks, so I'm anxious.
I have talked to a Swedish recruiter and she said that the hiring managers are slowly but surely screening candidates. If you haven't been contacted yet it may be because you are still in the pool to be reviewed. I spoke to her at the beginning of this week.
We got this guys! We just have to remain patient and cross our fingers.
My top pick is CVICU.
Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has interviewed with managers for the August/October cohort? I interviewed for my first choice on May 11th, but the manager said she won't be able to make a decision until mid June. I was wondering if anyone has requested to interview a 2nd time for their 2nd unit?
I just recently put my application in for the October cohort. I graduate in August with my BSN from CA. I haven't heard anything, it's been a few weeks, not sure if that's normal... the application is still open. Anyone heard anything for October?
Also, anyone have any idea when the next new grad programs are after October? Just curious incase I need to reapply

My top choice was ED. Interviewed in mid-March, no callback yet. It doesn't seem like they have contacted anyone yet so I'm not too anxious yet. But I'm hoping they will in the next week or two before I contact them and/or start losing hope lol.
