Seattlebound

I'm starting near the end of August. I liked how Tacoma general treated me during my interviews compared to another big hospital I got an offer from in seattle. I also liked the vibes on the floor better at Tacoma. Congrats on your offer as well :) Thank you danicaone

Thank you for the info. I got my references within a day of my phone interview, and got an offer 2 days later. HR said it was early in their hiring process.

I had a phone interview with Tacoma general today. They told me to get references sent to the hiring team. Does anyone know if there will be a second interview? Has anyone started their residency program there in the past, if so, how is it? How to do you like working for Tacoma general?

I am from out of state, and my second interview was over skype. Now my third interview, I have to fly there and pay for the flight myself (pricey, but worth it if I get the job??)

I'm sure that I will end up driving. Saw the toll bridges,wasn't sure if one had less or more traffic going to Seattle. I figure they are both the same. I'm sure I will get the night shift from 7pm-7a, so hopefully traffic isn't as bad???? I'm from new England

I'm moving to the area as well from across the country. Attempting to hold off on renting an apartment until I accept a position, so I have a better idea on where I want to live. My roomate is going to work in Redmond - I wanted to split the distance. If I worked in downtown Seattle area, I wasn't sure if living on a suburb on the east side like Bellevue or Kirkland would be too much of a commute.

A medical unit on fist hill campus. I wasn't sure if having a third interview was normal during this process. I'm flying across the country and have to pay for my flight so it's pricey and I'm hoping for good in person compatibility with me and the unit. I have applied to other hospitals in the area for new grad positions. But no where else has even offered me an interview at this point. I graduate on Saturday, and all of my close friends accepted jobs in the past two weeks, so I'm anxious.

I am out of state, I had a phone interview, then a Skype interview with 9 staff members, and I'm flying out next week for an on unit interview...or another peer interview.
