I've heard from HR that they would send out an offer letter that need us to sign and scan and send back, but I haven't receive it yet. That was three weeks ago, I should send an email to them and ask about it again.

Will a Nursing Refresher help?
I think it should be helpful. Choose a clinical site you want to work at. Net working. Work hard while doing your clinical. Take advantage of the clinical rotation in the hospitals and let your preceptors and nurse managers know that you are looking for jobs. If you can't get a hospital job first, get a job in LTC, home care, or LTAC (e.g.,Kindred hospital). After 6 months or 1 year experience, you are more likely to get call back from hospital jobs.

Multicore only has one interview as far as I know. But asking for references does not necessarily mean they are going to hire you. They did it for me and but did not hire me. After they requesting references, they HR will send out an email to give you instruction on how to do it. They use a third party company to do the reference check online. That's all the information I know. Best luck for you!

Thank you, k011408. The interview was with two assistant managers of the unit since the nurse manage was not there on that day. Some standard question like: Tell me about yourself. What do you expect you are going to be in five years? I think one thing you have to convey is that you really like this hospital and you are going to stay really long after the residency program. They don't want to invest money and time on a person who won't stay long. Just my 2cents.

Yes, I had an interview with them about two weeks ago but didn't get an offer though. k011408 you should expect to get an email notification say that your application has been forwarded to hiring manager after the HR screen your application and think you meet their requirements. Best luck for you!

Yes, they won't review your app until you've done that test. Best luck for you!

Experienced critical care RN looking into harborveiw hospital
I am not insider at Harborview but I have a friend works there at one of their ICUs (not sure which one) for 15 years. She likes working there. Since you both have ICU experience in trauma one facility, I bet it will be easy for you two get in. I don't know anything about the moving assistance. They are unionized Please check this out SEIU 1199 Contract Negotiation Updates Regarding to where to live,it depends on many factors, e.g., your budget, whether you care about school district, your preference of urban or suburban life, etc. It's not cheap to buy a house here. You can find some information by searching on redfin or some similar websites. Harborview is in downtown near international district. The parking is horrible. Yes, the charge employee for parking as well. There are many bus lines near the hospital and you may choose to use the public transportation if you live close by one of the lines. However, it is not so safe to walk in that neighborhood when it is dark. Hope this helps you!
