Hey everyone! I didn't see a thread for 2019's transfer cohort hopefuls so I figured I'd start one. Everyone get their applications submitted on time? :)
Ohman, I'm so sorry, that's so frustrating. Last year when I applied, I thought my application was great, I had an amazing interview, and was surprised when I didn't get in. Maybe you can email one of the counselors or someone in the school of nursing to see what you can improve on if you choose to apply again? Add in some volunteering that coincides with SU's values?, or try finding a different field to be a CNA in to diversify your experience? Best of luck to you!
I got in too!
BrianaMarie, I was sent a awards letter separate from the admissions letter. It’s through the portal. When I opened my admissions letter I scrolled down and it said:
The following letters are available for this account:
Decision Letter - March 23, 2019 (displayed)
Scholarship Decision Letter - March 23, 2019
Hope that helps!

Congrats to everyone that made it. I did not make it and I’m shocked to say the least. The letter said, “Our decisions are based upon a careful review of all of your submitted application materials including, but not limited to, the rigor of the academic program, individual course completion and performance, and academic trend.” I guess I’m shocked because I got a 4.0 in every program prerequisite, including an overall gpa of 3.93 in the classes that made up my transfer degree, I have over 1000 hours as a CNA/Med Tech, and my academic trend has only gone up compared to when I went to school 10 years ago, as well as being a tutor and TA while at NSC. I guess I’m shocked because I’m not sure what else I could have done, I worked really hard to put together an impressive resume. I still have a decision coming from UW, so maybe there is hope in that.
