Seattle University Transfer 2019

Published

Hey everyone! I didn't see a thread for 2019's transfer cohort hopefuls so I figured I'd start one. Everyone get their applications submitted on time? :)

Congrats to everyone that made it. I did not make it and I’m shocked to say the least. The letter said, “Our decisions are based upon a careful review of all of your submitted application materials including, but not limited to, the rigor of the academic program, individual course completion and performance, and academic trend.” I guess I’m shocked because I got a 4.0 in every program prerequisite, including an overall gpa of 3.93 in the classes that made up my transfer degree, I have over 1000 hours as a CNA/Med Tech, and my academic trend has only gone up compared to when I went to school 10 years ago, as well as being a tutor and TA while at NSC. I guess I’m shocked because I’m not sure what else I could have done, I worked really hard to put together an impressive resume. I still have a decision coming from UW, so maybe there is hope in that.

I got in!!!!!!!! I honestly can’t believe this!!! CONGRATS TO EVERYONE! Can’t wait to start this journey in the fall together ?

Ohman, I'm so sorry, that's so frustrating. Last year when I applied, I thought my application was great, I had an amazing interview, and was surprised when I didn't get in. Maybe you can email one of the counselors or someone in the school of nursing to see what you can improve on if you choose to apply again? Add in some volunteering that coincides with SU's values?, or try finding a different field to be a CNA in to diversify your experience? Best of luck to you!

I got accepted!!!! I am so happy! Congrats to everyone, I am so excited to meet you all!!!! ?

I am unable to view any financial aid awards though.... when I go to click on it (in the student SU account) it says I do not have access to view that webpage.... has any one else had any luck with that?

I got in as well ?

I got in too!

BrianaMarie, I was sent a awards letter separate from the admissions letter. It’s through the portal. When I opened my admissions letter I scrolled down and it said:

The following letters are available for this account:

Decision Letter - March 23, 2019 (displayed)

Scholarship Decision Letter - March 23, 2019

Hope that helps!

elm72,

Thank you! I saw that as well!!! I was trying to log onto the "Financial Aid Self Service Portal" though to learn more information about it but I cant seem to figure it out. I am going to call SU on Monday to clarify.

Just got my acceptance letter! Congratz everyone! After my rejection letter from spu I was super scared of getting rejected here and uw as well! Good luck everyone who have uw still left!

Specializes in Pediatric Cardiac ICU.

BrianaMarie, I am also having the same problem. I can’t seem to find my financial aid info.

I am so blessed to be accepted this year! Is anyone still not sure what to do if they get accepted into UW and SU?

Congrats to everyone!! For those not accepted this year, keep your head high! I’ve been accepted & I cannot wait to meet you all. I am sooo excited!!
