Hi!!! Welcome to allnurses.com

We hope that you enjoy it here.

Others will come along and answer you.

Just wanted to welcome you to the site.

Hi there, I applied to Seattle University last week also as a transfer student (2015). I also applied to UW and SPU, my top choice is UW!

I can't wait for decisions to be mailed :S Are you applying anywhere else?

I'm also applying to UW. I would be super happy to get into either school but I prefer UW based on cost. I'm working on putting the finishing touches on my UW nursing essay and still have work to do on my resume. Is this your first time applying? This is round two for me..

The personal essay for UW was definitely a big deal for me, I spent months rewriting it and rewriting it :p I worked really hard on it.

Yes, this is my first time applying to nursing school, I just moved to Redmond from Texas two weeks ago but I knew since last year I would be moving to Washington so I started preparing since then. Good for you for re-applying! I was thinking about working as a CNA for a year if I didn't get accepted, then try to get in again.

What are your qualifications if I may ask?

I'm also from Texas! I moved to Seattle when I was younger but have lived back and forth my whole life. I'm originally from Houston.

I have 500 hours of volunteer experience, 400 hours volunteering at Harborview Medical Center and 100 hours volunteering at Bailey Boushay House. I also have my CNA license but have not worked as a CNA yet.

I will be graduating from UW in the Spring with a B.A. in public health.

How about you?

Hello All! I have applied for SU for Fall 2015. I am applying as a transfer student. I had been working on prerequisites for nursing schools in the Whatcom and Skagit County areas but decided to expand a bit. Good luck!

Hi Megrw, sorry for the late reply. For some reason I thought I had replied already! Anyways, you have a great profile and I think it's interesting that you studied public health. It goes in hand with the healthcare field for sure. How was your experience in that area like?

I have a little over 200 volunteer hours in El Paso Children's Hospital, active volunteer for the American Cancer Society, have my CPR and First AID, and my father is a quadriplegic so I have tons of experience in that area of care.

Prufrock, it's good to hear you're also applying to SU as a transfer! Are you applying anywhere else?

Hi Rococo- I currently have 3 applications out. SU, Skagit Valley College (ADN program) and Bellingham Tech College (another ADN).

Does anyone know when we are suppose to hear back from SU? Soon isn't it?
