Hi all,
I didn't see any threads for Seattle University, so I thought I would start one. What classes are you taking, current GPA, extracurriculars, etc? Any thoughts on the application process?
I guess I will start by saying that I am currently finishing 2 prerequisites. Currently my overall GPA is 3.3 and pre-req GPA is a 3.9. I'm starting a CNA program, so hopefully that goes well. My overall GPA is low, so I am worried about that.
I am SO nervous just thinking about it!!
The last person I spoke with said mid to late March. They also said they were delayed a bit by the recent storms and power outages, so hopefully that is not a factor pushing it out longer. You're not alone going crazy while waiting.
I am curious what other people are using as the equivalant math class to SU's math 110. It doesn't seem like any community college math classes show up as a direct equivalent in the transfer guide. I have received two different answers from SU admissions too.
I have been keeping track with all the postings and afraid to participate because I just dont want to say it didnt happen for me a month from now. I am apprehensive as all of you are but more so than some of you because i havent had any impressive grades. I always like to be optimistic but this time? I am so very unsure. My overall grade is not as impressive and my pre-req is at a 3.4. Worse part is that i am re-taking one of the pre-req which i failed miserably. The only thing going good for me is knwowing that i have had 3 years experience in the health field and a certified registered cna. AHHHH....sorry, i really dont want to sound so depressed but all i can say is that part of me is still hopefull. Lets keep each othe updated. My online status says that my application is complete and is being reviewed etc. Waiting...just waiting....
Immystic, have faith, SU seems to look at the whole package rather than just grades. Your experience holds weight and looks really good:) Have you done any volunteer work? And what is the class that you are repeating? I think that the science pre reqs are weighted a bit more heavily, so that could work to your advantage. I am feeling very anxious as well, I have no idea how I stack up against other applicants. :/ it's has been a completely nerve-wracking experience, sometimes I catch myself obsessing and worrying over little details about my application...so unhealthy!

hi I applied Renton tech College for spring quarter..then I am applying to community colleges (shoreline, Yakima, Bellevue Seattle central) for fall quarter and private college in Cali for LPN program. I already have bachelor from UW + loan (i am still paying it right now). I really didn't want to apply to University because they are too expensive.
My GPA is not that great. But I have around 300 volunteer hours and been working in nursing home from last year. Hopefully this will make up for GPA. I am hoping at least to get a interview!!
Good Luck!!
