Seattle University APNI 2016 Applicants

Published

I thought I would start a thread for applicants to the 2016 MSN for Non-Nurses: Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion at Seattle University. I am applying for the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. Any other applicants for this cycle? Questions and comments regarding the program and admissions process are welcome!

Thanks, nikxi36! It's nice to have that info, even if it does just contribute to my anxiety.

Thank you, curiousrei! It's exciting to see that they've started sending invites, though it makes me that much more nervous. Please keep me/us in the loop!

Good luck, everyone!

Hey guys!

I got an email at 6:13pm today saying they would like me to schedule an interview for this Saturday. My application was for the Psychiatric NP track for what it's worth. Wishing you all the best of luck. Fingers crossed!

Congratulations, Oregonian89! Good luck on your interview! Keep us updated. Thinking good thoughts for you! :D

Oregonian89, now that you have been invited for an interview, would you mind telling us if there is any difference to your AppTracker on the application section of the website? Mine still shows pending faculty review. I'm wondering if there is any change to that after it's been actually reviewed.

I wish you the best of luck in your interview!! That in itself is a wonderful accomplishment.

Congrats Oregonian89. I applied for psych also and still waiting. Although I did apply late in the application process. I wonder if that has anything to do with the order of interviews?? Best of luck on your interview.

I wouldn't mind at all, nikxi. As of 5 minutes ago my application still says pending faculty review. I know that that'll make people even more anxious than they were before, but unfortunately that's all I have to go on at this point :/ It sounds like they did more than one round of interviews last year so I would assume they would do the same this year.

Hope that helps,

Brett

Hi, Oregonian89! So, in the email they asked you to schedule the interview? I heard previously that they just give you an interview time and there's not much flexibility, sort of a take what you can get situation. That's nice that there seem to be more flexibility than that.

Did the email indicate how long the interview is supposed to take place? I've heard varying things on the interview lengths, so I was just curious.

Thanks so much for answering all of our questions. I think all of us are super anxious, so it's really helpful.

Congrats again, and good luck! :)

Yes, they sent me a link that allowed me to pick an interview time that worked best for me on Saturday the 30th. There are currently 9 people signed up out of 10 possible slots, so I'm assuming they only sent interview emails to 10 people maybe?

let us know how your interview goes for psych!

If you're applying to the advanced community health track, invites are going out today for interviews on the 30th. Short notice, but still exciting!

Did you get an invite, lalalikelife? If so, congrats and good luck this weekend! :D I personally didn't apply to that track, but it's awesome if you got your invite. And thanks for keeping those of us here in the loop. Let us know how the interview goes! :)

Congrats on your invite and good luck on your interview!!

I'm a little confused by the whole process. Some people are saying that all of the the invites for psych and public health have gone out, while others are saying differently. Did you happen to hear anything about that?

Thanks for your help!
