Seattle U - APNI 2012

Published

Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).

Nothing in the mailbox.. :(

Who else thinks its kinda cruel that in this day and age, SU thinks its reasonable and appropriate to be snail mailing admissions status?? :p

Agreed! Email us alreadY! And Calinca, no mail in my mailbox either! Makes me feel like -->

Calinca, tomorrow for sure

I know, right? That status page with our super secret number would serve perfectly for the purpose of telling us what's going on.. :twocents:

Just checked the mail here in Hawaii just in case there was some sort of time warp and it got here a week early

Argh no mail here either...Haha I thought I'd know today...guess it's better though because I have an exam tomorrow...

Wow...I totally remember being there you all! I remember that I was waiting and suddenly got sent an invitation by email to "take a survey to let us know the reason you've chosen to accept or decline admission to Seattle University graduate studies," a day or two before I got the letter. Who knows...it's all kind of disorganized and haphazard, and seeing it a little bit from the administrative end makes me even more sure that there's no rhyme or rhythm to the notification process.

However...and this is at the risk of sending everyone into a complete frenzy for no-good-reason (and I seriously debated posting this for a good while).....if I remember correctly, once you've been admitted into the University, you get the ability to create an SU email address. https://owa.seattleu.edu and on the bottom is a 'Forget/Set Password'. You'd need your SU ID# (which I'm sure everyone has memorized at this point from checking your online status). I dunno how quickly they turn on that ability though, when they do it, and especially since the grad school enters people in slowly, this may be completely useless....so seriously take this with a grain of salt. Just thought I'd give some help out, if possible, as I remember the torturous waiting process myself.

Flaneur, it didn't work for me. I tried my last name+initial for the SU login name and just my last last name, but it didn't work.

Great tip, though!

Lenin should try.

Thanks Flaneur! Has it worked for anyone? It didn't for me, but I didn't expect it to since my status hasn't changed yet...
