Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).
I entered all the info that was asked for and created my password and voila. My status still says will be mailed as soon as possible. Someone from Graduate Admissions looked up my ID# today, said my decision was "voted" and "put in" yesterday but that it hasn't been mailed. So I'm not expecting a letter until the weekend at least (like I said I'm from Ohio). It sounds like it really might just be luck of the draw how soon your letter gets mailed / info gets put in the system. The woman today told me that mine probably hasn't been sent because the director of Graduate Admissions has so many to sign and is so busy that she can't get to all of them right when the decisions are made. That would explain the delay for some and the speediness for others. So don't worry!! There is obviously no sure way to know until the letter comes. But thanks for your congrats :)
Congrats on this great news Andar! Did your online status also change this week or does it still say that your file is under review? And Flan you are awesome, thanks for sharing this incredible tip with us!
Well, you're welcome...although it's a double-edged sword; it just throws more uncertainty into the mix for most :-|
Don't worry flaneur, you didn't do anything wrong. You decision to post the tip is going to make a bunch of people happy tonight (and in the coming years!)
As for me, I just don't see how they would have a problem entering all of the 8 people accepted for the CNM at the same time, kwim? Although, hope dies last, right? :)
Now I feel bad because I don't want anyone to freak out about this...I tried it thinking it wouldn't work and was surprised and didn't really believe it at first (still not sure if I do...)Please don't let it worry you until you get the letter!!
No, no, please don't feel bad. We're all going to be on our toes until this is all said and done. And besides, flaneur has already told us many times - and we can confirm by going to last year's thread - that being waitlisted is still good. It is really ok. I am going to fight until I can't.
Yeah, Calinca. I'm with you. It makes sense to enter all accepted CNM in at the same time.
LOL...yeah it would make sense, but nothing in this process will make that much sense, I promise. Just wait until you have to turn in all your immunizations on the Immunization Tracker and the background checks...you'll be shaking your heads, wondering why it makes no sense. This is just the beginning....hahaha.
