Seattle U - APNI 2012

Published

Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).

Specializes in Adult Nurse Practitioner / Gero NP.
Did your work last year Flaneur?

My email log-on? Well...kinda, yeah. But that was because I got that weird email asking me to take the survey...so when taking the survey I had to create a username, I think (a day or two before I got my written confirmation, since I was living on the east coast). Then I remember later thinking about it, wondering if I could have done it earlier anyway. Who knows?

I disagree though because the woman from Graduate Admissions specifically told me that just because the decision was made doesn't mean that anything else has been put into motion yet. It's the letter that holds the truth!!

I meant I disagree with the other CNMers being worried...

I have to agree with andar. Seriously...not to put anybody off of the program, because many aspects of it are amazing....however many many aspects of it are disorganized, the admission's process being highly representative of it. I would totally believe it if some work-study student put a couple of people in the system then went, "Eh...there's always tomorrow, right?" and left the rest for later. :-)

The whole email set up doesn't work for me either. At this point I either got in, got waitlisted, or didn't get in. Either option is what's meant to be, but of course I want to get in! When I know, I promise I'll tell y'all but until then I'm going to be absent because I'm going even more crazy from all the posts :)

Holy new pages of comments! Hey other CNMer, hello friend! :specs: Yeah, my create-a-password worked after many a try. For starters, the page wouldn't open in chrome, IE, firefox, or safari, so I had to download Opera for my phone and make my password on that, then go back to my computer to log in and open my email account (problem solving + persistence necessary for nursing, right?). Once you're in SUOnline, it asks you to accept your position in the program, but that link doesn't go away once you hit accept. It just lingers along with a change of address form. Ah the joys of college intranets.

I just have to say one thing: next year's applicants are either going to be really mad or really happy with all these pages that they're going to have to read. ;) Hey people of the future, I hope it's been fun and helpful!

Good night y'all! There's more tomorrow.

I hope all the people that were accepted to other programs and chose to go to those programs already told SU. Makes the odds a little better for getting in.

oh boy...in a few hours i have missed so much...

i'm dying to try, but i'm going to save my spirit a little bit and am deciding (vowing) not to open pandora's box until i get that letter.

sigh...

good night lovely people.

Murse did you try Flaneurs trick?? Did it work for you? My status has yet to change :-(

Happy Pi Day! Don't be acting irrational while waiting!

Leah, it did not work for me. I am trying not to read into it too much...but it's hard!
