Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).
Ahhh! I think it is just so hard to hear that they have so many applications this year. I have been working towards this for 2 years now and just hope I get an interview, but I cannot help but think they are so many more qualified people then myself. I think my application overall is competitive, but who really knows what kind of pool they are looking at.
Flanuer-did they have a huge turnout for all specialties or is there a couple in particular that are larger then usual?
I have been stalking this thread for awhile and had another username but it seems to have disappeared! Anywhoo, I applied to the CPHN track, and I was told between 300 and 350 applied this year when I called shortly after the application deadline. lots more than last year I guess. Been checking my inbox obsessively hoping for an interview invite! The APNI program is definitely my first choice but seeing as they are literally accepting less than 15%, it's hard not to get discouraged! Anyone else applying to the Public Health track??

Thanks Flaneur. Is this the first time they are having two faculty read the applications? Did you hear the same as Overtone, who said they might start emailing later this week (the earliest)?
I'm trying to be positive, but in reality - and especially now knowing that it'll be very competitive - I think I'm not going to be interviewed because I don't have all my prereqs done yet. However, I know that if they call me in, it is because the rest of my application is very strong and that will give me confidence for the interview. Let's see! I'm top of my class in A&P, so this gives me strength!
