Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).
I started my app to yale, but didn't follow through. I only wanted to apply to 3 east coast programs. I opted to apply to Penn because it's program sounds absolutely amazing and really appeals to me, Columbia because of early decision, and Boston College because I've heard good things and that program is really short. I just found out today that I have been accepted to BC, as well. I opted not to go with Yale because you don't take the NCLEX until you're already studying in your MSN specialty and that just rubbed me the wrong way. I really want to work as an RN while I'm in school (I know Seattle U doesn't like this). It wasn't easy to decide against Yale, hehe, but you can't apply everywhere, you know?
Oh and thanks!
Wow! It's great to hear that several folks have had the good news of acceptance to other programs. I wish that had been an option for me. I can't relocate my family and so SU is my only direct entry option. Even PLU is too far to commute each day. I'm looking forward to hearing the news of interviews next week. I'm hopeful... I'm SOO ready to make a career change and move in a new direction. Good luck all. Hoping for exciting email very soon. :)
