Speaking of the Washington Times, according to News&Guts, there’s a full page ad this past Tuesday from a group called “We the People Convention” calling for the suspension of the Constitution, voiding the election and a new election supervised by the military. Sedition, anyone?

If only sedition was punishable by death. I think Trump is bringing back firing squads and hangings.

Trump and Hannity are ridiculous! The current Republican led Senate Intelligence Committee "made criminal referral of Trump Jr., Bannon, Kushner, two others to federal prosecutors (nbcnews.com)." to the current DOJ, where Barr is the head and appointed by Trump. Although, the referral could not have happened to a better group of corrupt individuals (some of whom are related to this corrupt traitorous president), there can be no pardons prior to convictions. This president will not be in charge by the time these individuals are convicted of any crimes and so the advice Hannity has given Trump is ignorant, though of no surprise.

Yes they are ridiculous. However, preemptive pardon is a thing...it simply hasn't been tested in court.

Thank you for that point. If pre-emptive pardons is a thing in our justice system (it is not since it has not been tested in court, as you have pointed out), hopefully it will be shot down by the Supreme Court.
I am so sick of Trump removing basic behavioral and legal norms of our democracy to make it more like an aristocracy or an autocracy. However, I am very proud to see that much of our democratic institutions are holding firm despite him, the whack jobs in charge of his campaign, the clown show that is his conspiracy theory following legal team (they never have any evidence to support any claims), and the cowardly elected officials that will not stand up to him despite his nonsense.
Counting down to Wednesday, January 20, 2021 12:00 PM ET. In fact, I hear he will move out of the White House way before that time so it will be an even better day than I had thought! Although, like most I was expecting to see him being dragged out kicking and screaming by secret service on that date and time because he is a poor loser and in no way a grown man.

True, but no one tested the pardon of unspecified crimes of Nixon in the Supreme Court, as you have pointed out, which is why I do not consider it a-thing. In fact, Congress at the time did not pursue Nixon when he left office at Ford's recommendation (History.com). Plus, Trump waited to pardon Traitor Flynn because he was advised to do so years ago (msnbc.com). Now Trump is panicking to protect himself for his crimes by pardoning Flynn post conviction and wanting to pardon himself, his family, and others prior to criminal charges and conviction (theatlantic.com). Like you, if Trump tries to do it, I hope it gets tested in the Supreme Court and struck down.

I don't disagree that the court challenge may prove too difficult...that certainly doesn't mean that Trump wouldn't do it. The current supreme Court seems unstable.
