Has anyone applied to any of the Clinical Nurse I position at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose? If yes, have you received a call/email for an interview, and for which unit?
Also if you are willing to share the questions you were asked during your interview, that would be amazing!! Good luck to all ?
Thanks ?

Oh you are for sure getting the job ??! I think everyone does afterwards.. the person who interviewed before me also came from the same direction I did after meeting with the manager.

Hmm not bad! Would you like to connect? Let me know ? maybe we can help each other find jobs ?

Oh interesting! I didn’t know that it was extra help. For the first few weeks is it didactic and some scheduled precepted time on the floors? Then they set you free as extra help?

First 2 weeks is didactic, then to the floor for 2 weeks then back in classroom for 2 and I think it rotates like that for 12-16 weeks. They said once training is done they "try to schedule you for 40 hours per week" they only do 8 hour shifts. 7-3, 3-11, 11-7. Meaning the hours are NOT guaranteed but if you don't get hours on your home unit you can float to other areas if you want. They said waiting for a "benefitted" position can take 1 month or 1 year, just depends on when they open them. The benefit position would be considered a clinical nurse 2 position. They did not say what shifts are available but asked which I would prefer. I think this position is best for someone who has insurance through their spouse and has a side income from them if you don't get scheduled your hours. Sounds like it can be very unpredictable. If offered, I would try and get a per diem job at an area hospital just in case.

Didn't really like the delivery of the statement. Felt it was a little off but after hearing that I have no hope for the position whatsoever.
Anyone else have better luck?
How was your interview? Any luck with landing the job?
so... did you hear anything?
