2023 SCVMC New Grad/Clinical Nurse I

Published

Hi everyone ?

I noticed that the only forums about SCVMC's (Santa Clara Valley Medical Center) new grad/clinical nurse I positions were from 2022, so I was hoping to start a new one for this year as interviews roll around and new positions become available.

If you don't mind me asking, what made you choose VMC's training program instead of trying to transfer within your current hospital (assuming you don't work there).

I'll PM you!

PCU had also sent out email offers!! I think theirs is a little more reassuring tbh cause they have estimated dates of when we would get coded for this unit (~April time). If anyone got the same offer please PM me so we can be friends or figure this out together LOL

Hello!

I also received an offer from SICU a couple of days ago. From what the NM told me over the phone, everyone who was offered a position was pretty much given an extra help position since she said it was easier. She was also very adamant that a coded position would be eventually given!

Otherwise excited to start and meet everyone else who is starting the CCTP ?

Hiii! I received a PCU offer as well!

Congrats to everyone that received an offer!

I received an offer on Monday, sent my references in on Tuesday, but haven't heard anything since. Is anyone else in the same boat?  I am wondering when offer letters are being sent out...

I spoke with the nursing manager and HR is pretty backed up processing all the new hires.

Ah, I can imagine. Thank you so much for the update!  I was getting low key nervous.

Actually yes. Has anyone received an email officiating your acceptance (verbal or otherwise) from the Burn Unit?

I also got an offer for "extra help" for the TICU. I applied to the unclassified position and I am new grad as well with 6 years of experience as an LVN. Did they offer anyone here with a coded position right away or are all new grads hired as extra help?

Hello, I just want to asked if did you accept both offer fr VMC and Stanford? or you just chose one? Thanks

Hey, I ended up accepting VMC. It was a really hard decision but ultimately I had to choose the unit I wanted. Oncology was my 2nd choice for stanford. Did you decide on where you want to go?

Anyone know the time frames of the shifts? Also anyone else on AM shift? ?
