Ok, I need to get a few sets of scrubs but I can't find anything that fits me. I'm 4'9" and 110lbs. NOTHING fits me. I do have hips and everything thats lenght wise is made for a stick person and if it fits hips wise it is made for a normal height person:lol2: . At least I can laugh at the fact that I'm really short! Anyway, Anyone have any ideas other then heming everything I buy? (Not to handy with the sewing machine)
Thanks
OK, I have an odd problem.
I don't look out of proportion, thank God, but I am - I have a 27" inseam but I'm 5'5". (Thanks, Daddy - his pants size was 36W-30L, so I got it honest, at least!) One piece bathing suits are a nightmare because they're too short-seated in my size and I can't buy a two-piece off the rack because the bottom comes WAAAYYYY too low to wear in public. (To give you an idea, the high-waisted bikini bottoms fit me almost like a regular bikini, and the regular ones...well...I don't think so.) I've had this problem my entire life.
So I'm not looking forward to scrub shopping - and I appreciate all this information!
I am sooo glad I'm no the only!!!!!My husband tells me all the time that you can't be a nurse if you can't find scrubs that fit! I will check out some of these and see what I can find. Thanks a ton for your help.
further proof that men are unable to process logical thought. My mother wore white shirts and white pants when she was working in a nursing home. she was 300+ lbs and my height!!!!!
Hi,
I've always had the same problem with both rise and length. I'm 5'2" and I usually wear a size Small in scrubs (or a size Medium in regular clothing). I had a lot of success with a scrubs website I recently tried:
The pants are cut for a petite to average height woman (check their sizing charts), and the tops are shorter in length than most scrubs. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised. One thing to consider: CoutureScrubs.com scrubs fit like regular clothing (smaller than most scrubs), so I needed to order a Medium instead of the usual size Small I need in oversize scrubs.
Hope this helps some other "short gals".

I am getting Landau for now since that is what I have to get for school. I really like the length of the Dickies but they are a little snug on the hips! I have sworn of drawstring pants they kept sliding off and wouldn't stay tied!!! I don't want to worry about my pants falling off:lol2: ! I did end up with a petit small in pants and just a small in the top!!!
thanks for your help!
Try www.aviatorscrubs.com. I get all my scrubs from there because you can customize pockets, length of pants, length of shirt etc. They're pricey but last for years and years.
I am 5'1" (5'2" with shoes, almost). Won't be revealing my weight though I should be where most of you guys are in that regard. Dickies are really good.
I used to buy mine from a specialty shop....Dilly brand. 10 bucks for a top and 10 for a bottom, which is a good deal. The store stopped selling them, but they were awesome. The website has them though, which is giving me an idea....http://www.tcsuniforms.com/shop/item.asp?URI=2460
I also used to hem my pants all the time (still do). Getting them professionally hemmed/tailored is also an idea.
The trick with drawstrings is you have to make a bow tie....so tie it normally once, then make a bow to secure it....quick release when you have to get to the bathroom fast AND they stay up. I preferred drawstring scrubs, actually.
edited to add that that website also has the one-piece scrubs.

Hello, it's not just scrub bottoms---what about TOPS!!! Only a few manufacturers that I have seen have tops that are short, and don't go down to me knees.
I know Peaches and Dickies, and maybe Metro Scrubs (or are they a type of Dickies?) have some scrubs that they call a trim or short top.
It's so frustrating to find things that fit; I've taken to wearing scrub pants, a t-shirt, and a scrub jacket over it (though the jackets are too big, too, and no one who I've seen makes petite jackets).
I wish the scrub manufacturers would get their heads out of their bleeps and take notice that people who buy petite pants generally also buy petite shirts, too, so could you maybe make some?!?!?
