Hi all, well I start CNA classes at the end of this month!! YEA! and I wanted to ask a question. Might sound silly but , Do you wear clothing under your scrubs? I see individuals wearing shirts but what do you wear under your pants.. Just wondering. I know stupid question but thought I'd ask.

When it's cold out, sometimes I have an entire outfit underneath. Scrubs are thin, but you don't have to wear clothes under it. Some wear shorts, some prefer jeans or long johns (thermals). It's your personal preference. (Who will know whats under your scrub pants anyway!) :)

Hi

well, when I did my clincials in october.. i wore a long-sleeved shirt under my scrub top,but I didnt wear any clothing under my pants... but some of the CNA's I work with have worn thermal pants under their scrubs..but usually only in the colder months :)

I never wear anything under mine. Well, except for underwear, of course. Usually I'm running around busy, and I get hot and sweaty as it is, even in the winter.

I wear spandex or something because my scrubs are all white for clinicals and I dont wanna give a peep show. When I am allowed to wear different color scrubs for work, I doubt that I will wear anything underneath because I like feeling "free" LOL. Its like wearing PJ's to work :)

OMG just the thought of wearing jeans under scrubs makes me faint! I get so hot just from working, there's no way I'd put anything else under there. I like the look of shirtsleeves under the top but I'd melt. If I had to wear whites, I might consider running shorts or something but normally, no way!

LOL I figured as much but just wanted to make sure. I don't know if i would feel to comfortable in the all whites with nothing under my pants. I guess I'm just super paranoid like that. :) thanks for the reply.

I don't wear anything under mine. The nursing home is like 90 degrees and I'm running around the whole time.

I had that question, too! Whew, glad somebody else asked it. lol I have another newb question I hope it's okay to ask. What do you do when you've been busting your butt on shift a few hours and you stink to high heaven? Ignore it? Keep deodorant in your bag? Be glad it's drowning out all the other odors?

I think the CNA/PCA program I'm going into issues white scrubs. I don't mind the white shirts but I don't look forward to the white pants. At. All. Talk about a dirt magnet, plus, during that time of the month, white is the last thing I feel like wearing.

I've thought about buying some plain boxers to wear underneath, but then I thought I might like a pocket or two so I thought maybe some cargo shorts made of thin material. It might not be too hard to find some cargo shorts on sale soon for summer, made out of CoolMax or nylon or something. Trouble is, finding them in white, or something close enough to it. Maybe I'll go to Target this weekend and see if they've got something...

Another good option for you might be something like Spanx, if you can find them in white. I mean, they don't have pockets, but theyd be form fitting and flattering, while still keeping anyone from seeing the goods.

And, honestly though I sweat a ton, I never really have an issue with smelling at work. You could always bring some deodorant and maybe some good smelling lotion with you. Trial sizes could fit in your pocket. :)

I don't know about the stinking issue cuz I haven't worked as one yet... but maybe theres some fresh stuff we can buy to help out with that. And a very strong deodarant :) I already have to use Maxim to keep the sweat down. Maybe some easy breath spandex shorts to go under neath the scrubs too like one on here suggested. It is going to be difficult finding something white to wear underneath.. Let me know what you find too .. :)
