Scrubs or Clothes?

Published

Just curious what the majority of nurses in the school health office are wearing- scrubs, business casual, professional, lab coat?

Im torn between comfort of scrubs and not worrying about bodily fluids vs. business casual being less scary to my elementary kids (and more fashionable as I like cute (yet practical) things).

I alternate between scrub pants and a school shirt/sweatshirt, and business casual.

I wear scrubs majority of the time. Our principal allows jeans day on Friday with a school/district shirt - I take full advantage of that. A couple times a year we are allowed to wear shorts (boosterthon run, field day etc) I take advantage of that also.

Scrubs. I do wear the school spirit shirts on fridays only. And when it's the last few days before breaks or summer, I dress normal.

Last year (my first year as a school nurse) I wore scrub pants and school spirit t-shirts. All of the shirts faded so badly throughout the school year.

This year I ordered some scrub tops that go along with our school mascot and school name. :)
